From Pavs just now:

Austin Slater is back in the lineup after missing time with a sore elbow. Also, Brett Wisely starts in center field today. He’s a middle infielder but did drills in CF earlier this week and staff was kind of blown away by how natural it looked.

If only they had done this with Duvall…

Strip's day is done:
3.1IP 5H 2ER 0BB 6K

I think he's going to be a fine middle of the rotation piece. We just need Cobb to be a #2. If Manaea/Disco step up we could be solid. Flowers with the 2 run bomb.

2-2 through 4.

We have a nice, solid rotation, but as-is (basically pre-Harrison), it isn’t an elite rotation. We basically have a legit 1, a legit 2 and three legit-to-OK 3s.

I guess for a team that is HOPING for playoffs, but not really expecting a championship, that is fine. But if we want a 10/12/14 like run, I think we will need Harrison to graduate as AT LEAST a solid 1/2 and Manaea and/or Stripling to step up to the #2 neighborhood.

I don't think that Manaea/Strip/Disco stepping up to #2 is an unreasonable event. If TWO of them do....whoa Nellie.

B6 Tyro putting on a show. Double, SB and scores in the fourth on FlowerBomb. Triples in Slater in the sixth. 3-2 good guys.

Don’t disagree.

But it also assumes relative good health from Webb (no reason not to expect) and Cobb (history of injury issues and already beat up this spring).

No reason to predict 100 wins, but IF we get some nice surprises from the rotation, we COULD see something similar to 10/12/14

Oh, and I was today years old when I found out that Alex Dickerson is a Hebrew.

He and Joc on Team Israel.

I feel cheated that I didn't know before.

I guess we should have been chanting "Schwanz! Schwanz! Schwanz!"

By “we”, you mean “you”…

And wouldnt that be “Schwartz! Schwartz! Schwartz!”?

Why would we chant "black! black! black?"

That's just weird that they would have gotten the Yiddish wrong. I see the subtitle, but I've got to believe Dark Helmet says "schwantz"

It is a pretty famous line. I heard it as “Schwartz” and have always read it as “Schwartz”

Though I don’t speak/know Yiddish (I assume Brooks has at least a working knowledge of the language), so I don’t think I have ever heard the word “Schwantz” before.

In the movie, the Force was called “the Schwartz”, so I feel pretty confidant that the line is, in fact, “Schwartz”.
