Looks like Roenick was successful in motivating Marleau after all.
Somehow I think JR is ok with being wrong about Marleau.

NIEMI > NABBY

BTW why was Niemi laying around in the crease AGAIN not getting up... I saw it at least twice, just laying there following the puck. one time the announcers even said "And Niemi STILL havsnt gotten up!" I thought for sure the game tying goal was coming on that sequence...

BTW Nabby stops the backhanded Niemi let in :D
LOL, Huet even stopps that backhand haha... Turco probably woulda let it in, just cause he probably woulda thought doing a summersault was the best option

He said in the post-game interview from the bench on VS that he's sorry about looking like that and the guys were giving him shit about it but he had to change it up for this game and he's glad it worked or something like that...

Also, I think he said he's undefeated in Game 7's (is that right?) and it's good to keep the streak going...

Him and Norris canidate Wallin are undefeated in Game 7... Wallin changed up his beard by shaving his ass crack. Thats why he mighta had a lil more step in his game, chaffing is a bitch...

No one stops either of the shots Niemi let in. Both were just unbelievable shots. Picking the top corner just behind the crossbar with a strong backhand. Even in my prime playing days I could only dream of making a shot like that.

Oh also wanted to add, even tho I would have perferred this not goto 7, this had to be one of the best playoff series Ive ever watched... Every game by 1 goal?! (cept the EN game)... 3rd period comebacks & blown leads... Great rushes, great goaltending etc... No one on the board has seemed to give Jimmy Howard credit eaither. He let in some stinkers but I think he outplayed Niemi (preparing for the backlash here)with the point blank saves (preparing for the backlash here)... There were just so many in close chases SJ had this series that I wanted to throw the remote at the TV when he stopped them.

The chi/van series was enjoyable, but it wasnt nearly as nerve racking as this one. Saying that, I hope I never have to watch another series like this again. I gotta get my xanax refilled now haha

id like to see you stop that at that speed and angle, he is on the outside of face off dot and backends it far side elbow, i got money you get beat on that shot then shit yourself.

your going to tell me your going to cheat to the far side on that shot? no your not your going to stay far post or middle of the net giving up that far side, if you read shots as good as you claim you know reading a backhand is the most difficult to read.

He's like putting a fucking turtle on his back, and I think turtles even make better attempts to flip themselves over... I think he even did his buttscoot (back scoot?) over to the post again like in previous game I pointed out... hahaha Can SJ bungee cord him to the crossbar to help him get up faster?

2 things i noticed pavelski is either hurt or worn down from this series, i think he's going to be the next gutless for the next round.

secondly Heatler must have the number 55 tattooed on his chest somewhere the way he took a beating from Kronwall

Theres a reason you dont hardly see those shots go it... Cause they get stopped haha BTW the speed was not blinding and if you watch him he flinches too Its funny if you go back in the thread when it was scored everyone is "WTF NIEMI!!!" now all the sudden I bash him for a goal, and its "Greatest shot ever!"

LOL, the bipolor sharks board, gotta love it

I agree with this. I am probably the biggest Nabby fan boy on this board but there was a discernible difference with Niemi in net. It also doesn't hurt that his team showed up tonight either. But I don't think we win with Nabby in net.

No go back i was stating it the minute it happened how good of a shot that was, secondly you dont see that shot because theres only about 2 to 3 players in the league that can take that one, 2 of them being on detroit the other cindy crosby

The 2 days off will be good for this team for sure. I'd imagine that any practices will be pretty light too. Hopefully everyone will be good to go on Sunday. Nice to see Clowe get a lot of minutes tonight as well.

Yeah, Pavs did look worn down and didn't have a good game 6 or 7. Mitchell and Wellwood are playing extremely well though and as long as Pavs isn't forced to do too much work on the PK early on against Vancouver I think he'll be just fine.

Marleau will finally come through, and the Sharks win it 3-2. Have to have hope! Go Sharks!

Not sure anyone gave credit where it's due yet... nice call!

Anyone who thinks anyone could have stopped that backhand has no idea what they're talking about... that shot was incredible.

Dude when i saw where that hit the elbow just inside the post, i couldnt believe that was off the backhand, i mean you could line up 10 nhlers from that spot trying to make that shot and maybe one guy hits it
