Currently, a .760 OPS. Good enough. Better yet, there is a team option for 2012. I don't know how it vests. He might be slightly overpaid with his current three year $14.25 million deal, but on this team that makes him cheap. It all comes down to what it would cost prospect-wise. If Sabean got Franchez with Alderson...

Yeah. He has been awful this year. I thought he might get a pinch hitting assignment in that extra inning game on Monday, but after seeing his numbers, I understand why that would have been a horrible idea. Plus, it was fun to watch Affeldt up there and on the base paths.

So by the end of the season, the Giants will have two 27 year-old pitchers with over 1,000 strike outs for their career. That's pretty cool.

Bum and Vogey are legit hitting pitchers, though, so Cainer is AT BEST our #3 PHer out of the pitchers.
