Hey, at least we know Cain is done. No need to run him out there anymore.
For this year...

I have faith that he can be a solid 3 or 4 next year.

He has a new arm. He is just trying to figure it out. That takes time.

Now he's getting the DP's, when it's too damn late.

And you all thought I was wrong for wanting to trade off instead of stupidly buying old guys. Our team is old and injured. We aint winning shit. Time to get rid of some old guys to winning teams and get some prospects or younger players.

The Giants have graduated Duffy, Tomlinson, Susac, Osich, and Strickland, while Panik, Crawford and Belt have shown strides of improvement. The Giants average age in the infield is 26.2 years. The Ace is 26 years old. The Giants have youth in some critical spots, and a deep farm system to boot. The Pen might be our strongest aspect in the farm system.

Also, even if there was "time to get rid of some old guys" and ship them off to winning teams, the Giants are a winning team and if they didn't want them, what makes you think other teams would?

Hang in there buddy. Last I checked, the Giants are 2 (likely 2.5) games out of the playoffs. Enjoy the ride while it lasts. If we don't get them this year, we know the front office will make some moves. There is room in the payroll to add an impact player, and frankly this team is probably 1 great starting pitcher away (and maybe an extra bat in the outfield) from being a top team.

Yeah, that's what I meant. He cannot keep going out there is year. He should get a head start on the offseason and come back next year stronger.

Sorry hangman, you seem like a good dude.....but re-fooking-lax. I lived 30 years before the Giants won a WS (many much longer than me). They've won 3 in 5 and you're going to pretend you know what's best over the FO? Good for you that you had the foresight that they wouldn't win 4 in 6. Congrats.

I'm thankful the Giants don't just fold up camp when the chips are down. I'm glad they go after Beltran, Leake and Byrd when things are close, but in the distance.

Try to enjoy this Renaissance of Giants baseball. They're finally getting things right and we all still bitch and moan. I love this group of fighters.

When Castro has 3 hits tonight, you know things aren't going well.

Even the pitcher Arrieta is getting in on the action.

just another #weaklink shitshow.

Game was over at 3-0, just like Sunday. This is awful.

Running Cain out one more inning wouldn't have been any different, except one more inning of rest for the bullpen.

You know you are having a bad game when the play by play man says "LaStella retired for the first time, here in the 6th inning."

Nothing going the Giants' way tonight. Hitting, pitching, defense and even some strike zone squeezing going on.

This really feels like one of those spring training games where a big league club plays some local college.

Guys, let's all be real. The Cubs, Pirates, Cards, and Mets are better teams. Why are they better? Better starting pitching, and in some cases better pens too (like Pittsburgh and StL).

The Dodgers, if they are, are barely better. We can take this division still, when healthy. Or maybe we fall short.

Either way, fun season, lots of future promise, and I never expected much this year.

It looked like I was beginning to mutter to myself here so I shuffled off somewhere else.
This is only a problem when a lack of alcohol is present. I have a solution for you though.....
