He is putting up numbers that are more similar to his crazy 2011 than his down year last year. Very good season, minus a couple bumps.

He was horrible between May 23rd and July 11th, allowing 10 runs in 12 innings, spanning 17 appearances. After that last appearance, I had hoped they would move him to mop up duty. Glad they didn't.

Their 2nd best hitter is Yunel Escobar. Bryce Harper has a .643 slugging percentage. The next guy on the active roster is Escobar, at .418. If Denard Span were active, he would be considered their 2nd best slugger.

Interestingly, Emmanuel Burriss gave them 2 hits and 2 walks in 5 plate appearances and they dfa'd him after 5 games.
