Yeah, and why not? 11 runs, 12 hits, 10 freaking walks.

Meanwhile we cannot hit the ball out of the infield.

I knew it would come to this, but I am not happy about it. :deadhorse:

Now evidently the game is delayed because the scoreboard is overheated from keeping track of all the Arizona runs.

It pains me to see a talented team play like the '62 Mets, and lose so horrifically.

Still, I guess 15-2 is better than losing another 1-0 game.

BTW, how many games would it take for the Giants to score 15 runs for Timmy?

This year? I'll say 20.

See what happens when I don't drink during Giants games?

:drink:

Our offense sucked big time this year, whether medicinal spirits were involved or not. Why even bother to abstain on games like we have played this entire series?

Once Cain lost on Friday, the team showed absolutely no backbone, no fire, nothing.

2012 will be interesting, as will the intervening off season.

I'm impressed that you actually took 74 days off this year.....

:D

For all the pantshatting the board has done lately, and I have been a large contributor, the board never ceases to lose its sense of humor. Repped for, well, there has been nothing decent to rep lately!

Not even a GDT today? I did not have the heart, knowing Timmy was starting, I just could not bear to watch the Giants score zero runs for him again.

Yup, I'm still in mourning. Oh well, I got what I never thought I'd see in my lifetime last year. It's been hard to post recently.

Oh well, there's always next year. All things considered, the Giants (mostly the pitching staff) fought hard and actually had a decent season considering the injuries.

The payoff for being a lifelong Giants fan was last season. This season is just like a lot of the other ones: close, but no cigar. Heck, even those seasons when the Giants weren't good, I still have fond memories of following this team, so I definitely can't complain about a season where the Giants were in it pretty much the whole year. I'll still watch these last few games. I'll probably be too busy with work, but I'm thinking about going out to the park during one of these last games just to show my support and appreciation.

We have a lot to look forward to next season, so let's not get too down fellas. I hope everyone enjoys their fall and winter.

Agree to a point, but boy we looked second rate against average or above (and some below) teams down the stretch.

I am trying to stay positive but when I see some of the line-ups this board is projecting for next year it is pretty hard to achieve.

I think it is really unfair to EXPECT Buster to turn this around on his own ***8211; he is virtually a second year player, we should probably expect some drop off on that alone and coming of a major injury ***8211; I am not expecting him to be a difference maker next year actually anything above 75% of his 2010 production/performance should be considered a bonus in IMO.

This team needs a lot more than a fit Buster.
