Instead of being creative with shots SJ just shoots at the net and hopes for the best, which of course works sometimes but not enough. That's one of the biggest differences between them and an elite team like Van or Det. Sharks have a serious issue in creating scoring chances. And oh yeah, Neimi sucks giving up rebounds like that lol.

Hmm some no name for Ponicks scored his first goal of the season (and career) against the Sharks. This script seems familiar...

I'm wondering if Galiardi can get a shot off, not even asking for a SOG. He spends more time on the boards than Rodman.

It was going to be tough to come back down just 1-0. As usual, the opposing goalie is the #1 star. What a pathetic mess. :L

C U R S E D!

This game is over,

The shark had 2 power plays and NADA! I guess that will be the story of the game. I can just hear the dressing room report "we had our chances on the PP, but we didn't score, we played well, but we didn't score, we had chances to score, but we didn't score, we had a break away in the first period, but we didn't score. Blah blah!!!!!!!!

The bottom six on this team is simply terrible and with them, the sharks will not win regularly. they arent THIS bad a team, but if you look at the minus players, only 1 of the top 5 forwards is in there (pavs). Minus players include mitchell, moore, winnik, desjardins, handzues... The bottom six is killing the team. The big difference, IMO, is that the bottow six is much worse now than before. Losing Mcginn and benching ferriero is a large downgrade.

Ferriero may not be a stud, but he finishes. He has 7 goals in just 29 games, playing under 13 mins/game. That's as many as mitchell, and zues in over 60 games each playing a similar amount. its more than moore in over 60, and just one under galiardi in half the games. Don't get me wrong, I dont think ferriero is a superstar or anything, but at least he adds a missing punch to the bottom 6 that is sorely lacking.

Put moore on the pine and put in ferriero, at the very least. I've had enough of moore's craptastic play.

hard to score on the PP when you're own guy blocks two shots and tips a 3rd one wide.

And there is Wingels... the other guy who is Torrey Mitchell incarnate.

There are so many torrey mitchells on this team, Im having trouble telling who is the real torrey mitchell. Will the real torrey mitchll, please stand up, please stand up, please stand up :-)

Given his uselessness, I would call for wingels to be benched, but there is so much dead weight, AHL Fodder junk on this team that there is no one to replace him with...

Assuming the Sharks don't have 4 goals in them (start laughing) the Sharks will have lost more games than they have won this season. At the start of the season I would have said you were nuts if you told me they'd have more losses than wins after 67 games. Even for this team it's hard for me to believe it.

yeah, didnt see it coming, but I also didnt expect dougie to have a brain tumor that caused him to trade his best bottom 6 forward and 2nd best forward under 24, one of his top prospects, and a 2nd rounder for three AHLers. This is obviously, without a doubt, the worst trade deadline in sharks history.

BTW... maybe clowe is done in SJ this summer? he has 2G and just 6 total points in his last 18 games. His slump has been a killer too.

tempting to clean house... Certainly TMac is proving his uselessness as a coach. The question is whether to forgive doug for one bad year. I also dont know who would come in. The sharks farm is depleted. Their top players are reaching the end of their careers. They have virtually no forward under 25 aside from cooch who look like top 6, let alone top 9 forwards. Their heart and soul on D is nearing the end of his career. The future is really really bleak right now, so firing doug doesnt make a whole lot of sense at this moment because the new GM would be put into a situation to fail.

I say give dougie the summer to fix his bad year. Its the first bad year theyve had since he took over 10 years ago, so he deserves the benefit of the doubt. That said, I would give him until december next season. If the team is out of the top 8 halfway through next year and he hasnt begun to build the future, then dougie should be gone. On the other hand, if he pulls off a few good deals over the summer and recreates the team, then I would give him a shot.

Its a tough call though after this past year including the really horrible signings over the summer and then the unbelievably embarrassing deadline.

It could have been worse, he could included stalock in the deal but that was pretty BAD

also, on the other hand, its a good thing the sharks still have their 1st rounder. At this rate it may be a top 10 pick...

Oh well, look on the bright side: we don't have to watch them perform their annual fold-o-rama in the 2nd or 3rd round of the playoffs lol.
