Apparently Lions signed Joe Jon Finley this week in case Sheffler can't go. He was on the Niners' PS for two years, as memory serves.

Just passing along some random numbers that are mildly interesting:
The Lions have 0 turnovers in the 2nd half on offense.
They have only led one game after the first quarter this season.
They have been behind heading into the 3rd quarter in their last 3 games.

Here are some other things. This is via Peter Keating on ESPN:
Stafford to Johnson so far this year:
294 yards, 8 TDs on balls thrown to the right side.
157 yards, 1 TD on balls thrown to the left side.
0 attempts to Johnson over the middle.
Our run game will be key. If Gore can get loose on them the way Peterson and the Vikings did, and we can jump on them early ala the Bucs game this will be huge. I like that fact that the Lions run alot of 3 WR sets, because this means that Aldon Smith will see more snaps and I have been really impressed with him. I think we are gonna see a breakout game from our pass rush....just have a feeling.
Rogers may be the strongest CB that CJ has faced thus far.... or maybe Flowers from KC, but no one on TB, Minn or Chi that I know of... Dallas having a good CB is lunancy lol....
Maybe Rogers will slow down Megatron just enough?
Charles Tillman, Aqib Talib, Antoine Winfield, Ronder Barber (he's old but I hope you know of him)...???
It would help or be more interesting if this was more detailed or one knew where this would place him among others at his position (among 3-4 players), but I'll post it anyways. I have not yet subscribed to get their subscription numbers that would let me know that.

San Francisco 49ers: Over the past two weeks, Aldon Smith has filled the pass rushing void left by the departed free agents. He has been able to bring pressure on 10 of 45 pass rushes in that time.
Quien????
This year though Rogers is having the better season....

Scheffler being out is terrific news. It atleast gives them one reliable TE option rather than two. Considering Witten nearly blew us apart before we "settled down" on him, can't imagine when there's TWO TEs capable of destruction.
I still can't get over the 4th and 6 pass he caught on the final drive in regulation that cost the 49ers the game. Everyone in the stadium knew that ball awas going to Whitten and the 49ers don't double him. I couldn't believe it.
Was that the one where the ball was placed only where Witten could catch it?
