Game Week Thread (week 10): PANTHERS vs. 49ERS

Sacks are still the end result our pass rush needs when they play those passing offenses... its great to have consistent pressure, but actually bringing down the QB for loss yardage or TOs, thats' what our defense needs and not some flukely or open guy making a play for a first or TD...

Aldon still leads the team IIRC in sacks... and he missed 5 games... damn...

I think Sacks are great and we defiantly need more of them but I will take constant pressure over sacks because constant pressure speeds up the QBs internal clock and then he begins to make bad decisions with the ball.

I'm not worried. With Aldon coming back, we will get our sacks back. And sky's the limit for guys like Tank and Lemonier.

I'm not disagreeing with you sacks are great but if you watched the Jets vs the Saints last week Brees was sacked maybe 3 times but hit 11 or something like that those hits take it's toll. Now would I love 5 or 6 sacks a game sure but as long as we are constantly getting pressure like 65-70% of the time I'm perfectly fine with that with or without the sacks

Lemonade did well I thought considering he is a rookie and was out classing everyone else in the pass rush department.

He was also in coverage a lot, and he had a pass breakup.

Looks like he'll be inactive this week and the only thing I've heard is that he's working on getting up to speed.

Kyle Williams - WR - 49ers

Kyle Williams was added to the Week 10 injury report with a knee injury.

Williams practiced in full Friday and is officially listed as probable, so it's not a major concern. With Mario Manningham set to return this week, Williams is going to lose considerable snaps opposite Anquan Boldin. Williams has just 11 catches for 108 yards through eight games.

Same here. Somehow I got Trenton Robinson and Michael Thomas mixed up recently. I think I combined them into one person in my head, because when chatter about the increased PS salary for Thomas came out this week, I was very confused.
