Dutch-oven! Newark, Ohio Represent! Looking good so far. I was holding my breath hoping that the top of the order in the 4th didn't decimate him.

Josh doesn't look real locked in tonight. Looked really good against the rays and now he's back to swinging at iffy pitches. His hit was a good shot though.

dmc, you are keeping the ESPN game thread going all by your lonisome

LOL. Yup. Well a few stragglers. One of the things I do like about the new board is the auto update. Makes it easy to go between these two boards.

They keep on padding Holland's run support, which I think was already best in the majors.

I said in June that Holland could win 15 games this year. Just sayin'

Nice to see the Rangers come out so strong in this game and not take the voodoo with them from the last series. Texas just happened to face Boston as they were getting hot and healthy, and now Boston is facing Texas in the same spot.

I believe Wakefield could throw every day, and probably could pitch until he's 55.

Anyone else think that Wakefield kinda looks like Billy Chapel in "For Love of the Game"?

Probably, but not as a starting pitcher. He usually gets through the order once pretty good, but when he starts getting knocked around he gets beat up. At least it really doesn't matter at this point.

Problem is that he will get no national coverage about tonight's game because Verlander is pitching tonight also

Don't think Derek can go all the way, but should get into the 8th.
