I suppose someone is living in the past.

Cheer up, you won't have to worry about the playoffs this year.

3 points? :L

Of course I am... I am going to enjoy the memories... What's the point in watching if you can't?

Not like all Martha Brady's rings haven't been flaunted in front of our faces.

T.J. Ward should have been ejected from the game. Totally unnecessary to take down a defenselss WR the way he did. Made the Broncos look like sore losers and poor sports.

You can defend him all you want, he's a piece of shit.

Who is defending him ?

Apparently, frustrations came to a boil in the locker room with some of the Broncos DBs taking exception to Okung speaking ..

Added cornerback Kayvon Webster: "I can't believe that s---. We held Brady to 16 and still lose? Has that ever happened?

I guess Talib lead the way

Got to agree
16 points to pats at home and offense cant do anything.
It was just a matter of time
Manning held the team together last year
There is no one on the offense that has that kind of juice

You see it every week because the Broncos have a bunch of shitheads on the team.

Peace

Complain about broncos fans being overly sensitive on the general board and then come here with BigKen to cry foul. Seems like a pot and kettle thing.

Yeah, we lack leadership on offense and with Manning at the helm last year nothing ever blew up. Two years of it and Manning gone and out of the playoffs it has reached a boiling point.

The offense is lacking something all right. It's called a run game. Leadership is the least of their problems. The Defense has been avg over 70 plays a game for like 5 straight games . Hell, takes this offense prob 2 games to get 70 plays. Like I said before, if this offense just had a " decent " run game, their record could very well be 11-3 or better right now. The Defense has played like a unit that could have got Denver back to a SB. This crappy O line has been their Achilles heel.

I'd say they are lacking both.

Leadership is huge in any sport especially NFL.. We don't have a run game nor leadership on offense. Of course, good leadership and crappy players won't get ya anywhere, but when you don't execute and you don't have leadership then it is cause for disaster.

Think about it, an OT who hasn't even been here a year yet is are so called "leader" on offense. Not good. We need a significant change on offense this offseason otherwise our vets on D who are playing up to their level are going to want out sooner or later.

Maybe we can retool quickly like we did with the defense a few years ago.

A comination of a struugling offense and one of the worst run defenses make for long days. The D needs to shoulder some of the burden.

Amen. Crick/Sly/Gotsis were getting pushed around (although I saw some flashes from Sly... he is much more of a 3 tech than a 0 or 1)

and davis/nelson, despite racking up tackles, are slow in diagnosing the play and do not come downhill. Instead they stand on their heels and wait for the ball carrier reaches them (and subsequently drags them back an extra 2 yards)

Maybe over the course of a season. Holding the patriots to 16 with turnovers making a huge part of that, defense did their job. Same thing with the titans game. I will give up 130 yards/game (or whatever it is) rushing if the scores are still low to mid teens.

I hate to say this but Denver has a lot of work to do in the off season on both sides of the ball to get back on top.

I was referring to over the course of the season. But when you give up long drives due to runs, the D stays on the field and it wears a team down. Denver still has a top flight back end to their D, they have have Miller they just need those run stoppers to get them back to being elite.

I agree about the offense. Unfortunately this offseason is a terrible time to need o-line. I think the defense can change a little more quickly.

I hate to say this but Denver has a lot of work to do in the off season on both sides of the ball to get back on top.

Is there really a lot of work though?

On offense I would say a lot will depend on the growth of Siemian/Lynch. If either of those guys take a big step forward a great QB can cover up a lot of issues on the offense. I mean look at Brady last year with that Patriots offense. Terrible OL and no run game yet they were still a very good offense. So that is the part going into next season that Bronco fans are not going to fully be able to know for our team.

On the OL again look at you guys. Get a decent OL coach and boom many of the same players from last year all of a sudden look pretty darn good. I would bet there will be some decent turnover on the Offensive side of the ball when it comes to the coaches.

Beyond that CJ Anderson will be back fully healthy. The offense was actually functional before he went down with injury. Still need some RB depth but we do have a starter quality RB in Anderson. We have a great FB in Janovich that will be back from injury as well.

WE have 2 High quality WR's signed up long-term. So just need to build up the depth behind them. At the TE position Derby looks like a keeper and Green is signed but obviously again more depth needed. Loaded TE draft so my guess is they turn to the draft to fill in that spot.

So that leaves us with the OL. Something to remember is that 3 of the 5 starters had very little starting experience before this season started. There should be an expected level of growth in some of the younger players. My guess is this is where the Broncos will contribute FA money and draft capital into helping fix some of the issues. Again the Pats are a great example of how quickly a team can turn around the OL with the right people in place.

On defense the entire secondary is returning once again. 3 of our top-4 pass rushers will be back as well. We still have Derek Wolfe signed long-term as well as Brandon Marshall. We also have some youth at the linebacker position so just have to wait and see how they develop but some of them have shown great promise in the few snaps they have taken. Mostly though for the defense it will be about the NT and other DE position. Gotsis was taken in the 2nd round so some of this will depend on his growth for year 2 at one of the DE positions. This is also a very good draft for the 3-4 DE position.

So decent draft, couple of good coaching changes, a couple of nice FA signings, and maybe most importantly the growth of our 2 young QB's. I mean this year every single game the Broncos have been in it pretty much up until the end of the game. Not like we have been that far off from beating some great teams this year. Heck we are not even out of the playoffs yet with 2 games left standing a decent chance of making the playoffs. Do you guys really want to face the Broncos in the 2nd round or would you rather play the Dolphins?
