BTW, another solid episode. It jumped quite a few years, but while I don't know a lot about the source material, this is obviously setting up a war of succession between the two princes, Rhaenyra and Aegon. Considering the laws and traditions of the realm, it will be interesting to see who supports Rhaenyra's claim.

Very anticlimactic end for Crab Feeder. I figured he would be a bigger player throughout the season. For him to really only be plot fodder for Daemon is a bit disappointing.

Will this show last for only a couple of seasons? It's going real fast and it seems like it will try to go into the succession conflict during the next couple of episodes, probably even next week. I think the succession issue is the main plotline, the backbone of this story, with now Daemon claiming to be a King likely at war against Kings' Landing.

Even with its accelerated pace, the show is still much better than GOT's final seasons in which, besides the pace, the decisions made by several characters made no sense.

The producers stated the original plan is 3 to 4 seasons. I wouldn't be surprised if they expand that since the series is a hit. A LOT happens in the war, enough to easily fill those seasons, and they could even continue on to the stuff that happens in the aftermath of the war.

Who cares how the actress identifies herself, as long as the character works. If she changes her character from the way it's being stablished by the younger actress, just to conform with her irl identity, then we'll have a problem.

But something important to keep in mind here is that though House Velaryon is Valyrian, they were never a dragonlord house and not, in general, dragon riders.

Only those with sufficient Targaryen blood ride dragons: Laenor Velaryon is only a dragon rider because his mother is Rhaenys Targaryen.
