Agreed, it felt like an episode of GOT that just focused on these Targaryen’s and no one else. Not a bad thing and it gave me exactly what I was expecting and so I’ll stick with it.

Hard thing for any sequel or prequel is everyone expects it to jump right into a great episode. Winter is Coming wasn't exactly Blackwater or Battle of the Bastards. Gonna be a good show

That was why Hightower sent her. He wanted her to produce the heir. If it worked, he would have been a bastard, though, so the claim would have been tenuous. But likely stronger than the daughter or brother.

Oh ya I picked up on that right away, not surprised her dad tried to pimp her out I’m just surprised nothing came of it(that we know of, I highly doubt it did but GoT was built on secrets so it wouldn’t shock me).

I don’t think they could have shown it if they wanted to. I think those two girls were supposed to be YOUNG (12-14 or so). Even if the actresses were 18+ (no idea if they are), if they are portraying minors, they can’t do that kind of scene.

Not exactly. Otto's plan isn't for her to produce a bastard, but instead a legitimate heir...

Glad I went in with low expectations cuz that was a pretty big piece of shit outside of a few select scenes.

Probably will keep watching though for more close ups of butt cheeks, women getting their stomachs and pussies cut apart, and severed dicks.

Going back to GoT, I read that Melisandre might be several centuries old because of the necklace.
Any chance she's around?

Never really thought about this...but my gut would be this:

If they can fan service, they will.

Yeah, I think the idea was to create a sense of intimacy in a weak and emotionally vulnerable king, not jump right into sex. Even with the king declaring for his daughter, having a legitimate son with Alicent would create a new claim.

Hard to imagine this would be left at just two parties competing for a crown.

But it was pretty boring, mostly because only the brother and daughter are interesting characters, and they're not that interesting. Even if it's just setting the table, the characters should be there. And there's no mystery, nothing we're left wanting to find out.

They seemed really proud of their CG, though.
