One day it will all make sense
I thought I read somewhere that they will not be going forward with the show now. Anyone else hear that or did I just imagine it?
That was the other one
This one they are doing

In the case of Fear, I was thinking more about the earlier seasons. The most recent ones were going downhill. It's why I gave up on both TWD and fear quite a ways back. Are we watching the same Fear? Morgan went from one of my 3 favorite characters in the TWD franchise. To character most deserving to be punched in the throat regardless of series.

This Fire & Blood / House Targaryen potential spin-off is still being developed and getting an official pilot order from HBO, but the other potential spin-off, Bloodmoon, has been cancelled, per Deadline and IGN.
It ended badly, but GoT was one of the greatest TV shows of all time. The showrunner will be the guy who directed the best episodes, so my hopes are up.
Funny that some people are already thrashing this because it was picked over the female-led/female-ran "Bloodmoon" show.
How bad do you think that pilot episode was?
Having that director involved was a great move, because apparently he clashed with Benioff/Weiss who basically mailed in Season 7.
You mean Season 8, but that's okay, we would all like to forget that season exists.
I am so glad they decided to proceed with House of the Dragon instead of Bloodmoon. The problem with Bloodmoon is that it's not based on any actual George R. R. Martin book, but instead just on scattered references throughout the books to myths of the Long Night, so we would have ended up with the same shitty fanfiction from TV writers that season 8 was.
At least with House of the Dragon, we get a story based on an actual George R. R. Martin book, even if the details of the story in that book are rather sparse (due to the book being a historical reference that covers over a century rather than in-depth novels covering a few years the way the main aSoIaF series is).
The rise and fall of the House of dragons should be pretty interesting. It might even end with the mad kings death.
That almost sounds good.
Won't be the same people. The way they fucked up the last season of such a great series, I'm not interested at all.
Volume 2 should bring it to the Mad King thoigh, correct? It's not going to have anything to do with the Mad King's death since Fire & Blood takes place much longer ago. The book, and its main event the Targaryen civil war, ends over a century before the Mad King is even born.
