Okay, now it's good to be actually back. Get a win for the home opener.

First goal: Sean Couturier

I think these moves are telling me number one, they want more offense up front and two, they want their defense to be tougher against the Panthers

So it's actually Luke Schenn out, not Evgeny Medvedev

Not cool with Mase being out hopefully all is well with him. Nuevirth can handle this one.

I'm going to go with shake and Jake with the first goal. The first line will wake up...

I like Gagner in for Umberger, and I like that Simmonds moves to the 3rd line. Simmonds is awesome on the PP, but he doesn't seem to drive the offense much at 5 on 5. Put him with Laughton and Read and have them focus on some defense. Frees up Gagner to help Coots and Schenn offensively. I wonder if Gagner actually plays RW and Schenn plays LW, it would make more sense to me to flip them, unless they're focused on making Schenn a LW for the season.

This makes a lot of sense - Wayne does a lot of his work on the power play which is important because that is a momentum changer - the Flyers need to bring it 5 on 5 and Sam Gagner can really help that, also if they have the puck on their stick more, then that's less penalties - the two penalties they took in the first period the last game led to the game getting out of hand

Plug in Gagner and Gudas if you must, but don't give Lecavalier time. It just isn't going to work.

Hope Mason is alright

Who is our resident Corsi dude, do we have one of those? I know some people look at it a little bit. I'd be curious to see what Simmonds' 5 on 5 numbers are.

I'm not a Corsi expert by any means, but I think without looking at stats, it would be common sense that the more you have the puck on your stick, the less penalties you take and the better you are defensively - and Wayne Simmonds' 5 on 5 might not be good because of his linemates too, who knows

I think G opens it up with one of those magical opening shifts and someone on his line pots the goal....most likely him.

Hope Mase & his family the best.
