This is pretty much a must-win game. The forwards for the Devils average over 5 years older than our forwards. That's AVERAGE!! I'd be embarrassed if we lost to this team on home ice, especially while they no longer have Brodeur.
We can at least have some solace in the fact that the team we lost to last night will probably win the conference. Tonight is a different story.
Probably a little early for a must win.. And Schneider is probably better than brodeur at this point.
Would be nice to win though.
I say must-win because if we can't beat NJ in our building, we could easily be 0-10 by the end of October. It's a really tough stretch. Then we're dealing with a repeat of last season with no promise of getting out of the hole this time.
Schneider may be better than Brodeur altogether based on age alone, but Marty has owned us in our building and Cory has yet to even play us there. I'll take the unknown over a hall of famer (that has shut us out God knows how many times) any day of the week.
