welp, marched right down the field. Held them to a FG... Let's hope Brady marches them downfield for a TD
Tonights showing by NE be like0-11 on 3rd down conversions. Thanks for being there Gronk. Your dumb penalty may play a big part in the Patriots not getting home field advantage in the playoffs. Next week is huge.
Thuney has taken a big step back this year.
I'm on to PittsburghHolly shit...that looked like a 4th preseason game. NE didn't come to play and Mia gave its all and only won by 7 with a dog shit performance by the offense.
We literally had UDFA, 7th rounders and ST LB playing this game. I am not sure what happen to Harris, but WTF man. We could have used him. Roberts covering Drake on the outside, are you fucking kidding me??? Richards playing LB and can't make a tackle of Jay Fucking Cutler for a sack. Those 2, right there....who should not even be on this team, were responsible for that TD. I won't miss Butler next yr, guy has lost it and looks for a flag every time he gets beat. Time for more Rowe. No pass rush at all...again, UDFA and PS guys playing huge roles for this team. Jay Cutler looking like Brady back there in the pocket. I'll give it to the defense, after Harmon's foot up asses pep talk, they showed up.
Nothing to say about the offense. Pathetic...
How many of you really paid attention to this game???
First, the offensive line starters and players through the entire game were Solder, Thuney, Andrews, Mason and Karras, Fleming (No Cannon, No Waddle) Belichick decided to start Felming and let him play on or off the team next year. I would say, he's gone. He made some extremely costly mistakes. The first was an illegal motion when he jumped out of his stance on a 3rd and 2 because Cooks stepped back to shift across to the left side.
Just plain stupid. In the following series, he let the DE go because he decided to double team with Mason and Brady had to throw the ball away.
Second, the defensive secondary was in constant flux and Jordan Richard shit his pants twice before grabbing the bench. He's gone next year. 3rd and 7 and he a clean shot at a sack of Cutler. Instead of slowing down and planting his shoulder pads into Cutler's hip, he tries a one arm grab that Cutler took a half step away and Jordan was on his ass and Cutler completed a pass to the one for a first down and eventually Misami's first TD. He then on the next series blew his over the top coverage and let a WR take in a 28 yard pass. He was just standing in the middle of the field like he was lost.
Third, the Patriots were primarily using the RBs as the WRs for short passes. Where were the coaches?? On three separate occassions, Burkhead, White and Lewis all caught a pass, one yard short of a first down. How is it that they couldn't look to see where the marker was and take a half step beyond it??
First and goal at the one foot line. White starts heading forward. Flag. first and 6. Flag. Holding NE. First and 16. Incomplete pass, incomplete pass, incomplete pass......Field Goal.
When the game started, the camera caught a shot of Brady on the sideline and my wife said the he looked sick. Prior to that they showed him walking on the field smiling and chatting with people. Don't know what happened between those two time periods.
Worst of all, Brady did not look like he was in this game at all from start to finish. This would have been the perfect time to have Hoyer take over in the second half. 13-10 at the break and Brady was horrible. Hoyer wouldn't have trust issues or be looking for guys who weren't there.
A couple of points. The Patriots have now lost in Miami four of the last five years. Brady is now 7-9 in Miami in his career.
This games showed Brady's greatest weakness, other than possibly being sick. He does not trust Cooks, Amendola, Dorsett or Hogan the same as he does Edelman, Gronk, M. Mitchell or Bennett. His play showed hat he really needs to work with the guys who are playing and if he can't practice, he shouldn't be playing.
He didn't look very 7-11 like last night. I wonder if he was worrying about the shoulder and didn't want to toe drag and then land on his shoulder?Rewatched the end last night.
Hogan had a catch in the end zone and only got 1 foot down.
He never made an attempt to break stride and get another foot down. Never attempted to drag his toe.
That was a rookie type mistake.
It may or may not have made a difference, they still would have been down a FG, but there would have been more time to attempt to get the ball and tie it up.

Yeah I'm not too concerned. NE always throws up a stinker of a game. TB12 always has a game or two where he looks terrible. Can we be honest? The whole team looked like the last place they wanted to be on Monday night was Miami, FL. Historically the Patriots have never played well in Miami. Be it, the Orange Bowl, Joe Robbie or Hard Rock. They just don't play well even when they win, they look like shit.
Add to that the Patriots had a 48 man roster that was pretty much 3rd string and limpers, as well as special teamers and several guys (Richard) playing out of position and guys doing things they just can't do (Roberts covering a WR), the Patriots were doomed from the git go.
It's over and the loss may well be the best thing that could happen at this time of year.
A wake up call at exactly the right time. A week ahead of the most critical game of the year.
I don't think that the Patriots who were in Miami will be in Pittsburgh.
