They missed Hunter today. #25 was burned 3 times for scores on miss- direction plays. Boston's coach had a very good game plan and took advantage of FSU's slow starts. It took almost a quarter for defensive adjustments. Too many yards after contact. 10 missed tackles ,that could of stopped to scoring drives for Boston. FSU could of burned BC's secondary all day, but Fisher still wanted his ground game. Even though Winston could beat anybody with his feet, Fischer doesn't want him to run. Several times, Winston should of took off on the run and easily could of added another hundred yards . But Fisher wants him to stay in the pocket. The defense needs a lot of work.Maybe this was the wake up call,the good old slap in the head to get your attention.They didn't play smart today and it showed.

Mario Edwards did not play today. They played a lot more 2nd and 3rd string guys this game too. ELigwe, Thomas, Hollin, Walker, and so on. We do not have a player wearing #25 on either side of the ball. #29 Nate Andrews was playing in his Hunter's spot. He is a true freshman from AL.

As far as Winston running. He is not as good of a runner as Coker is. He is efficient running, but I want him to be in the pocket because he is so good there after the 1st quarter. Jimbo will ALWAYS want to run the ball. No matter what he is going to keep the offense as balanced as possible in every game. Has been that way since 2007 when he came here.

Pruitt needs to get the middle run taken care of. We have been cut up the middle in every game. This was a problem last year too. We have done better against the run in the 3-4 defense, but then we have to rely on Dan Hicks at 260LB covering a wheel route or TE which is not a good thing. Hopefully this week was an experiment week trying to get different combinations to see what works where. Was still too close of a game.
