Both Parsons & Hayward were long shots to land in Phoenix. Lebron & Melo were never coming to Phoenix. Chances are that both Parsons & Hayward stay with their respective teams.

We should be targeting Marvin Williams, Deng, Anthony Tolliver, & Mike Scott. Save that money to resign Dragic & dabble in the blockbuster FA class in 2015.

Marvin Williams, Anthony Tolliever and Mike Scott? Uhh no thanks. Deng is the only one I'd want out of those three and that depends on how much more he's asking for than Tucker.

Looking at the FA market for bigs, I'm starting to face the reality that our bigs are going to SUCK next year unless we pull off a trade or something.

Would anyone want to take a flier on Paul Pierce? One year deal, with our training staff... who knows what we could get out of him. He still has something left in the tank and could be a good mentor. If Tucker and Deng want too much I wouldn't mind it.

Greg Monroe is the only FA big man that's even remotely close to being starter material (not including Pau because he isn't coming here)

Monroe is an RFA. The only way we see him in a Suns uniform is to offer him a max deal & force Det not to match. He is not worth that money.

Kieff is our starting PF in 2014/15 unless Love makes his way here. The only starting position we can upgrade at this point is SF. Deng is the only guy out there who fits this category that is available.

What is wrong with going after stretch 4s like Marvin Williams, Anthony Tolliever and Mike Scott to fill out the bench with Frye gone? Right now we have 1 PF on the team.

Ryan Anderson could be a trade target for PHX. NOLA needs to shed salary before bringing on Asik "officially" so we could probably get him on the cheap if we took back his entire contract. I think he'd be a great Frye replacement. Younger, more upside and has 3 years left on his contract.

Plumlee-Len
Anderson-Markieff-Marcus
Tucker-Warren-Marcus
Dragic-Green-Goodwin
Bledsoe-Ennis

Anderson is also a good trade piece if we want to make a run at Love or for some other star during the season or during next offseason. Playing in our system would increase his value even more.

... not a bad idea, but Pierce turns thirty-seven in October and moves like a tortoise (even when healthy, and health has not been much of a concern with him). I don't think that he could keep up with Dragic and Bledsoe, and he certainly could not keep up with them as well as Gerald Green and Ty Warren.

If I were running matters, I would forget Deng; I don't think that he'll be worth the contract that he seems likely to command, especially given Phoenix's other options at small forward. Instead, I would bring back Tucker at the right price and look for a center, especially Gasol, even if the possibility is unlikely. And even if the Suns were to lose Tucker, I would not feel inclined to splurge for a small forward, particularly when Marcus Morris also constitutes an option at that spot. Granted, Trevor Ariza would fit this system, but again, the price would need to be right.

Back to Deng, he is a good player, but he is not a star, and someone will probably pay him like a star. He is the kind of player who could move Phoenix up one spot in the West, but the Suns should save their money for someone who can move them up four or five spots in the West.

I'd look into Andray Blatche. Alex Len is a bust; Plumlee slowed down last year; Frye is gone...he might fit in nicely in Phoenix.

Ryan Anderson would be worth a look, terrible defensively but a sniper on offense.

Len hasn't even played a full season or had a full off-season to train, yet. I wouldn't call him a bust at this point.

Ryan Anderson is probably the last chance that the Suns have at making somewhat of a splash this offseason. They talked so much about making noise in the summer of 2014, yet they have done nothing. :(

Yeah I've been pretty frustrated so far with this off season. :wtf2:

Our biggest need is SF/PF/C and instead we're meeting with the second shortest player in the NBA today. :L

We signed P.J. Tucker for 3 years and 16.5 mil.

I LOVE, LOVE LOVE that deal. Especially with how the market is today. It's a frontloaded contract too which is really smart since it'll free up some cap space by the third year of his deal.

I thought he'd end up asking for too much, but getting just over 5 mil per year is pretty fair.

That shores up our SF position IMO. Just need to grab a better C.

Looking at the FA market I really don't see any PF/C's that would fit well. I think we need to find a trade partner to land someone that can play PF and C.

The Hawks have both Milsap and Horford... I think either one would be a nice fit.

That's good value for PJ considering scrubs are getting paid 3/$24+ mil in this market. Pending a Love trade, I thinK we are standing pat & might just add a cheap big/stretch 4. That would be the better play since the 2015 FA class is much better & deeper than 2014.

You can't really judge Len by last year. His foot injury didn't let him participate in the offseason & limited him for much of the season. Look at Plumlee as an example of that. Plumlee played a total of 55 minutes in 2013/13 during his rookie season & look how he progressed the next season.

Either one of them would be a great pick-up. I'm not sure if they are looking that direction though. Atlanta's asking price would probably be to high anyway.
