Jodie Meeks just got a 3 year 20 million dollar deal... wtf.

If that's how the market is going to be then Frye will easily command $8mil a year.

Apparently Eric Bledsoe posted a picture of him in a Suns jersey from last year at some time last night on Instagram and Twitter but deleted just minutes after. Good sign (as expected) that he'll sign here long term. Good to know he wants to be here and won't pull an Eric Gordon.

The Eric Gordon situation was opposite of Bledsoe's from the Suns perspective. Gordon had no choice in where he would end up. He signed the Suns' offer & NO matched it, forcing him to return to NO. The Suns hold Bledsoe's Bird rights & he would only join another team if the Suns allowed him to.

Hopefully that tweet means a deal below the max is being worked out without Bledsoe signing a deal with another team & the Suns matching.

What I mean is I'm glad he's not being a diva like Gordon was to NO. Coming out and saying"my heart is in Phoenix" was a douche move by someone of his caliber. Especially as a RFA. Now he's stuck there and they both hate each other haha

Okay, gotcha. But I think he every right to be a diva under the circumstances he was in. He was traded in his last year of rookie deal to a sorry ass team in NO. He was stuck in bad situation with no recourse other than to try piss NO off into not matching any contract.

But the smart thing to do would be to play out the RFA year under the contract & then leave the next season. Instead he went for easy money grab.

Here is who the Suns have been talking to.

The Suns have spoken with Pau Gasol, Trevor Ariza, Luol Deng, Spencer Hawes, Danny Granger, Ed Davis, Marvin Williams, Josh McRoberts, Gordon Hayward, Chandler Parsons, Isaiah Thomas and Patrick Patterson, reports Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic. Still, Coro cautions that they aren’t necessarily interested in all of them. Phoenix also made contact with Eric Bledsoe, P.J. Tucker and Channing Frye on the first day of free agency, Coro adds.

McRoberts would be an interesting addition. A passing big man who may flourish in the Suns uptempo style.

Even allowing for certain reservations, I would be more interested in Pau Gasol than any of the small forwards.

Who wants a good laugh this morning?

Pacers Seek Trade For Goran Dragic
The Pacers have inquired with the Suns about the availability of guard Goran Dragic, but the teams have yet to find common ground in negotiations, reports Marc Stein of ESPN.com (Twitter link). The Pacers covet an upgrade at point guard, Stein tweets.

Totally believable....

I love Dragic, but would probably swap him for Paul George just due to Dragic being in the final year of his contract. Then again, I don't know George's contract situation?

I just heard Indiana is trying to get the Celts involved for a 3-way deal to send Rondo here and facilitate Dragic going to the Pacers. I would def not be down with that one.

Why aren't the Suns meeting with Melo?!? Thought our GM was making a big push toward getting him.

Yeah, replacing Dragic with Rondo makes no sense.

I wouldn't trade Dragic for anyone on the Pacers. He is the face of our franchise and just completed the best season of his career. He chose to come to Phoenix. What kind of message would that tell other players That might want to come here? To me Dragic is completely untouchable. the Pacers are retarded for even reaching out.

Rant over

Dragic wants a $100 million contract next so he may not be the face of the franchise for long, esp if they sign Bledsoe to a max deal.

I don't think the Suns right now should deem anyone untouchable. If they had to move Dragic to facilitate getting Lebron, I think we'd all be fine with that!

All this discussion about the Suns looking at point guards is making me nervous. It seems like they are going to pay Bledsoe this year. Maybe they are having doubts about paying Dragic next year?

If they used Dragic in a deal to get Kevin Love, which then led to the recruitment of Lebron, I would probably be OK with it. That's pretty much the only way that I would accept moving Dragic.

If we don't get LeBron then there is absolutely no reason why we can't re-sign both Dragic and Bledsoe to the contracts they want. Unless LeBron is coming to town, then Dragic isn't going anywhere for a long, long time.
