I agree on Len and Plumlee. I think Len could surprise us this year if he's back 100 percent healthy and Plumlee's rookie year was essentially last year so him hitting the wall after the All-Star Break was expected. I think he'll keep getting better.

I think we still need more then just Len and Plumlee this year. Len is essentially an rookie and I don't think we can count on him this entire year. Hopefully Plumlee picks up from the beginning of last year but has more gas in the tank.

7:14pm: The Suns meeting with Thomas will continue into tomorrow, tweets David Aldridge of NBA.com. Aldridge adds that the sides have not agreed to an offer sheet yet but regardless of the result of their discussions, Phoenix’s interest in Thomas has no impact on their situation with Bledsoe.

My guess is maybe they look to trade Ennis and bring on Thomas? I feel like if they sign him then it would lead to another move being made.

I hope they do something that I can be excited about.

Thomas would be an A++ backup, I'd take him for the right price.

If signing Thomas leads to a sign and trade with Bledsoe and a pick or two for Love then I would like it a lot more. Kevin Love would likely be open to re-signing in Phoenix according to a MIN beat writer that covers the Wolves.

That's a decent team.

Yeah, if the Suns are seriously considering signing Thomas, then they must be seriously considering the possibility of trading Bledsoe or not resigning him. Otherwise, why invest more money in yet another scoring point guard?

The other potentiality would be that Phoenix is already planning on letting Dragic leave next summer ...

Also, why would Thomas, a twenty-five-year old coming off a season where he averaged 20.3 points and 6.3 assists (with a .574 True Shooting Percentage), be interested in becoming a backup, especially a long-term backup, for a club that cannot be considered a championship contender as currently constituted? Something does not add up to me.

Incidentally, Thomas has posted a .574 True Shooting Percentage in each of his three NBA seasons.

So at least you know what you're getting ...

By the way, Chris Paul's career True Shooting Percentage is .575.

NO way they are looking at Thomas as a backup. He won't take backup $, so you don't pay a guy starter money to ride the bench. He'd only be signed if they had a move in place to send Dragic or Bledsoe elsewhere.

In general, I don't want to see Dragic or Bledsoe go anywhere, but without knowing the deal, it's hard to completely write it off.

Kevin Love trade talks must be happening ...

Heat fans, I have no sympathy for you. You took in a carpetbagger & was left at the alter by that carpetbagger.

Every team in the league would have done what the Heat did, lol. I feel no pain for Heat fans though. They won 2 championships in 4 years. That's enough for the next 50. You'll always have the memories.

I can't believe Miami is going to give Bosh 5 years max money.

Did anyone else see this anecdote from Friday's New York Times?

Nonetheless, that notion of betrayal comes up often.

“Me? I feel like he’s a traitor; he doesn’t deserve us,” says Larry Horton, standing a block from the Cavaliers’ arena. “And if he comes here, he’ll leave us again.”

Horton is wearing a handsome black leather Miami Heat cap. I have to ask: Dude, mixed message? He shrugs. “If the man comes here, not saying I won’t ever root for him.”

Like most cities, Cleveland lives with its sports contradictions.

I really don't want Deng unless a trade is coming for a big man... preferably Kevin Love. Otherwise it makes ZERO sense. Warren, Green and Marcus are MORE than capable of backing up Tucker at the SF position. I really can't get a grip on what the hell they're doing but I'll trust McDonough.
