It won't because they want a Safety with better coverage skills which is why they are basically letting Goldson go. In a perfect 9ers world we'd be letting Whitner walks and keeping Goldson but that's not how it worked out.

It probably puts more emphasis in adding a corner and now DRC becomes a more interesting proposition for them since I believe he can cover the slot.

I'd easily give up a 1st for Harvin. He is better than anything they are going to draft at 25. Far better. Seattle made a great move here.

I don't think many would argue with you on giving up draft picks for a good/great player (especially since we have 15 this year). I have an issue with the salary cap hit that the top FA's will command. Harvin is a top 5 WR IF he is healthy, which he has been unable to maintain throughout his career.
