It seems like the 9ers made moves that would be made weeks after the start of free agency. Jumping all over Bethea and signing him 15 minutes in to free agency and trading a 6th round pick to for Gabbert. I imagine they assumed the marked for Safety would be different but looks like they really jumped the gun on this.

He said recently he wants the chance to start. I don't know why anybody would want to count on him as a 1a or 1b option in the attack but that's just me. They can't be done.
