Hawks got four roster pieces for less than Saad wanted. Being in a cap crunch, I think they did well.

Most of which was Anisimov money that was coming off the books next summer anyway. And he's gonna add on defence like you said.

I still think it's worth it because you could make a deep run with this roster + a top 4 and that's always the goal, but theyre gonna have to get very, very creative next summer because the UFA crop is going to be just as weak assuming Stamkos Kopitar Seabrook Gio etc. sign in the coming months.
