Heard a lot about the aging Frank Gore and the looming 30 year wall from especially seahawk fans this offseason...

At midpoint....

Frank Gore is the 3rd leading rusher in the NFL with more yards, a higher YPC, and more TD's than Marshawn Lynch.

So, as you naysayers were telling us..... about the 30 year wall... and Frank Gore.... Please.... go on....

Well i like some gore myself, but if it doesnt happen this year it will soon. Theres really no getting around it for running backs.

Your obsession with all things Seahawk continue to permeate most of your posts.:bawling:

I applaud Mr. Gore's results this year. He is in fact beating the odds. You may feel a need to direct your braggadocio towards Seahawk fans, but it a well known fact that by the age of 30, most NFL RB's lose effectiveness.

Frank Gore is doing well? Oh well that settles that. I guess most NFL RBs when they get around 30 years old DON'T decline in ability then.

Well Frank Gore is one of the top 10 RBs from this past decade, so you would expect him to still be pretty good. Even when he does decline, he'll still be better than most backs in this league.

The question is, who wouldn't run well behind that offensive line?

Good point, he would definitely age fast if he had to run behind that bs o line that the hawks brought to St. Louis

Don't jinx the old man, he might break a hip and it would be all your fault

I tried to target Gore in fantasy drafts because of the 30 yr wall. I still fully believe that when RBs hit 30, they just start to deteriorate. The reason why I thought Gore would buck that curse is because he has such a nasty O-line that it'll mask the fact that he simply isn't the same RB that he was.

You don't even need to be an NFL RB to start feeling it at 30:nod:

This is where seahawk fan back pedals and puts all the credit/blame to the offensive line. Regardless of endless bragging about immense "depth" on the Seattle roster.

Bottom line for is a f uture hall of famer... Lynch? Not so much.

I am specifically talking about frank gore who has had more yards in three consecutive years. Not a sign of slowing down, but all I heard this offseason was as soon as he turns 30, he is garbage and lynch will be dominating off youth and skittles...

Breaker never forgets anything any Seahawk fan ever says. You have to admire this kind of dedication.

I wasn't aware the season was over.

Frank is having a great season.. I thought he'd be going down with an injury at some point this season... but as I said before, "I wasn't aware the season was over." Obviously I want Frank Gore to hit a decline, he has sliced us pretty good in the past, spare the last two times we played the 9ers, but we'll see how it goes in the second match up this season.

I admit, Gore has exceeded my expectations this year thus far. Regardless, there is no denying the fact that a RB's ability starts to decline when they hit there 30's. It hasn't happened to Gore yet, but I would be careful about flaunting it. It's only week 8. There is still plenty of time for his play to decline.

Gore just really knows how to pick his way through the line. He probably has slowed down, but his smarts and instincts are helping him gain a ton of yards.

Gore is a really good back. Fans predicting that he would decline isn't a shot at Gore...it's just the natural trend and lifespan of an NFL rb.
