both guys pass under 60 and the 2.9 % difference is stupid to debate , neither is more accurate what allen showed at the sr bowl is he needs some work on touch and processing and it improved over the week

so far the same issue had coming into last season are the same ones he left with , accuracy , processing , manipulating defenders in the pass game , recognizing pro defenses . talent he has however you will have to change our offense to fit jackson in because he doesnt fit our timing based precision read offense
Do you want a 60%passer in a power five or a 57.5% in a crap conference

If our own recent history tells you anything...

Its easier to take a middle of the pack pocket passer and coach him to be a better pocket passer than it is to take a running QB and UNteach him to be a running QB while also trying to teach him to be a pocket passer.

Now I know some folks say, the mobile Elite QB is the next evolution of the position. But reality is, Cam Newton is the exception to the rule.

i think anyone vs any competition who completes less then 60% will have a high probability of failure in the NFL

Maybe because that's not what his game is based on. And trying to make him into a pocket passer is kinda like this...

I mean...its not what Allens game is based on either.

That said...Jackson can play in the pocket and make timing throws...he does it at Louisville.

Its easier to teach some one the right way to do things, than unteach them the wrong way.

Jackson game is based about 50% of the time on his ability to run. His instincts will be to run around if the play breaks down. Not because he has to, but because it has worked for him rather well up to this point. Bringing him to Washington means seriously altering our offense to fit what he will be comfortable with. Hoping he can manage to do what MOST of the running QBs have not done while we hope he can be turned into a more traditional QB.

The flip side is alter the offense, keep it that way and hope that he can manage to stay healthy while also accepting that the best dual threat QB in the league at the moment still only completes around 60% of his passes and only manages to remain healthy because he is built like a tank.

no , i lean more toward mayfield , who fits what we do better or Rudolph who is a great deep ball guy

i think like most years, the media is driving guys right now, when the draft comes, you see nfl teams have vastly different grades than nfl teams

nate petermand 1st /2nd round- remember that
cardele jones- same story

i can go on

TBH this sounds like a fan of the guy who is willing to ignore the history of running QBs because you like him as a player.

I don't care if he can throw a ball from North Korea to the white house lawn. 4000+ yards and 50 TDs tells me that running isn't just a part of his game, its a big part of his game. 6-2 201lbs running QBs don't last long in the NFL. Most of the we can make this guy into a pocket passer have failed.

So not being a fan, and knowing the history behind these types of QB, and the recent history of this team.... Hard pass.

IN the words of George W Bush

“There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.”

As an FSU fan, I watch a lot of ACC football. I don't read the stats to form my opinion, I actually watch the games. As talented of an athlete LJ is, he is not a very accurate passer. In his 3 years at Louisville, LJ's had NFL talent to throw the ball to...Allen has not.
