In theory you're correct but the same guys are usually trotted out there every second shift. I don't see too many guys on the 3rd and 4th lines getting much ice time in OT.

Don't get me wrong, I would welcome the change, but as we all know, this league moves with the speed of a glacier and if the players aren't on board, then it's not going to happen.

Not a huge issue now, but another injury and it is. I'm surprised in a tournament like this they don't have injury replacements

Although you think they would trot out some more guys in this tournament considering these are all star teams.

Nah. You just need to play more of your bench in OT. It could have small, unintended consequences too. Perhaps teams will favour speed and skill a little more during roster construction so they don't end up with, say, Matt Rempe playing a 3-on-3 shift.
