Self-proclaimed Asshole
Maybe it should be Elvis
I was kinda thinking that. Dude owns Cleveland.
Maybe it should be Elvis
so what do we do with him? continue sending him out there giving up 5 or 6 runs every game. you can see the players out in the field deflate
He's hiding under the bed. You hosed him good.
This is like talking smack to a dad who just let his kid win a game.

Based on the past just consider the source. Stupid is stupid do.Well, you can't just put him on the DL.
And he's not giving up 5/6 runs every time out. His ERA isn't great, under 4.50, but it's a lot better than Gonzalez or Martinez or Harrel. Right now he's occupying the back end of our rotation, in either the 4 or 5 spot.
Now, name the name (s) of the players who "you can see them b/c deflated when Perez pitches." That's total BS IMO.
Last 10 starts for Martin Perez:He's actually been better recently. And he's certainly better than Martinez or chi chi of Harrell. So settle down.
Last 10 starts for Martin Perez:
1-6
6.30 ERA
Among mlb starting pitchers since July 1 with at least 7 starts he has the 3rd worst ERA in all of baseball. So he's doing better lately? Compared to what?
3-man in my book in Holland, Lewis & Griffin
Would you agree that if Colby comes back looking good then Perez moves to the bullpen? And right now I'm thinking Perez doesn't even make the playoff roster, especially in the divisional round.Yes. He's had some clunkers. He's also had two games in his last 5 where he only gave up 1 ER. At this point he's a #5 and he's certainly better than our other options.

We have pitchers coming back from injuries, I'd consider a 6 man rotation until the playoffs start and ease Lewis and Holland back into action
I'm fine with that. But I think Hamels and Yu are "every 5th day" type guys that prefer that sort of structured routine. We have pitchers coming back from injuries, I'd consider a 6 man rotation until the playoffs start and ease Lewis and Holland back into action

You saw how awesome he was with a full 5 days off.And frankly, given the uncertainty coming from the rest of the rotation we could use their consistency. Though I think it would be a good idea to give Hamels an extra day here or there if we can.
I'm just not usually a big fan of 6 man rotations. Might not be a bad way to go for Colby's sake though.

The days off the team has built in are paying off for that.Just as soon as we can wrap it up, the more rest we can get Cole. Let's hope it's sooner than later.
