I spend so much time delving into the history of football and find so many fun little tidbits, but I have nowhere to share them. So, I am creating this thread to give myself somewhere to share the things I find interesting. I hope others find them interesting as well.

Despite never being considered a top tier QB, Jeff Hostetler won at an amazing pace. From 1988 to 1997, Hostetler made at least 1 start each year and never posted a winning percentage as low as .500. All told, he was 51-32 in 83 starts. This also ran over into the playoffs, as he managed a 4-1 playoff record including a Super Bowl win with the Giants.

You should create this thread for the Mariners board too. I'm much more into baseball history and milestones than football, where I pay more attention to the current guys.

The Seattle Seahawks have led the NFL 3 times in interceptions (1984,1999,2013) and have thrown the fewest interceptions once (1994).

I'll do that. I have been working on a a G.O.A.T. on QBs for a while, and I've just been running into a lot of interesting things, so I figured I'd share when I found stuff.

Stan Gelbaugh won 1 of his 12 starts in his career. It was a game that saw him complete 0 of his 2 pass attempts and he was injured in the second drive of the game. It was also the only game in which Gino Toretta threw a pass in the NFL.

It took Leon Washington a total of 3 games to break the Seattle Seahawks career record for kick off returns for touchdown. Washington had 2 in the week 3 matchup against the San Diego Chargers in 2010, breaking the Seahawk record of 1, held by 8 different players.

The Seattle Seahawks are the oldest team in the NFL to hot have recorded a tie; Carolina, Jacksonville and Houston are the only other teams to be tie-less.

On October 3rd, 1999, the Cardinals' Jake Plummer threw a two-yard completion to tight end Andy McCullough. Since that day, nobody named Andy has caught a pass in the NFL.

19 of Devin Hester's 20 career return touchdowns came with Lovie Smith on the sidelines. His NFL career record setting 20th was the only one of those where Smith was the coach of the opposing team.

There is no NFL team that the Seahawks have suited up against more than the Denver Broncos (52 regular season and 2 playoff contests). The last time the Seahawks won a regular season game against the Broncos was in 2006. The last time they won at home was 2001.

Yeah, you never would have thought that a QB would be the one to end that streak. I thought it was pretty funny, although I'm sure Titans fans did not.

I kind've let this one die, but ran across something interesting this morning.

Scott Mitchell (Detroit Lions) has a playoff career qb rating lower than an any qb rating he put up in a single game. His career rating is 23.2, while his ratings for his two playoff starts are 33.6 & 31.8 respectively.
