mind boggling...what was the point of having him sit in the box? the extra few days of practice with the big club? I wonder why Newbury was called up instead of Raffl and VandeVelde, since they were the last 2 sent down...

I wonder if Rosehill is hurt after the crosscheck to the face from Orr.

sending laughton down is fine, but why wait a game?

calling up someone to be a 13th forward makes sense, but why the fuck is it newbury?

*grumble*

This is definitely strange, but it's not like Laughton was going to be our savior right now or anything. It just seems like a giant cocktease to the kid though...lol

I approve 110% of Laughton going back to Junior.

Fuck Newbury, though.

I'd rather see Laughton playing 21+ minutes a night while continuing to get bigger and stronger then playing 5-7 minutes a night sporadically while being buried on the depth charts now. He does have a bright future I believe but it's not now. I also have no problem with Newberry coming up he's a decent 4th line plugger and guys like McGinn and Raffl need to be playing a larger role in the AHL right now to help their long term growth. I'm assuming this is management's position on the subject at least and if it is I have to agree.

Yep all good points. Also shows that they want to win this year no experimenting with rookies. Also sends a message to the vets that they won't get screwed around just take care of business!

Laughton needs upper body strength. Comes with age.
