all seriousness though, he was real legit this year and i wouldn't be against acquiring him any more. he is a massive prick though.

Yeah, I guess we can take some solace in the fact that we're not the only team with goaltending "issues".

Fleury allows terrible goals at key times.
Vancouver has a goalie that wants to get out of town bad.
etc etc etc

As for Bobrovsky, I hope the kid has a long great career, but I suspect he'll return to "average" status next year, playing well for stretches, and then poorly for stretches. Some of these guys tend to have one incredible season in their lifetime, and the world quickly pronounces them to be a great goaltender. Time will tell...

i have no idea, a handicapped 97 year old grandma could've..

1. let it slide through the crease, safely to the other side
2. deflected it in to herself sitting at the post
3. poke checked
4. not fallen over like a buffoon in the side of the net
5. literally just stood there (or sat in her wheelchair)

on luongo: gillis fucked up royally on that one.. he should be fired for that alone.. they won't get anything for luongo, every team knows they HAVE to get rid of him because he's no happy there, the team doesn't want him there, and he's got a horrible contract. if nobody trades for him, he will be bought out. the most they'll get for him is like a 5th round pick. sadly for them, i think toronto offered a 1st + gunnarsson or something like that last summer, but gillis didn't budge.. more horrendous understanding of the goalie market, him and homer could write a book.

on bob: i actually do think he'll be a good goalie. athleticism and work ethic go a LONG way for goalies and bob has both of those. however, it's very, VERY rare that someone can repeat vezina caliber numbers.. lundqvist and broduer might be the only two to really sustain that caliber of play for more than a year and a half to two years

malkin and neal are two of the dirtiest players nobody talks about.. both of them resort to head shots and slashes the second things aren't going their way
