Multiple sources are reporting that Florida has reached out to NFL teams to vet Chip Kelly and doing NCAA background checks on his time at Oregon.

I thought they'd 'Zero'd In On Frost' with an offer he couldn't refuse?

What gives?

You may select two options.

Damn these Huskers are convinced themselves that Frost is the second coming and will cure all their ills. You want to win go after Petrino at least he is a proven commodity.

No.
He was the second coming when Vegas had him the odds on favorite in going to Florida.
He was the second coming when Florida had everything to offer that he couldn't refuse. Money, recruits, beaches, veterinary classes, etc.
He was the second coming when "Nebraska was going to wait too long and miss out."

Now? Not so much. Just an "unproven commodity." LOL

I would take Chip at Nebraska if Frost were unavailable.

He can put the pieces together consistently, and that is what separates a good coach from a bad coach. If he were still at Oregon they'd have been play-off contenders the last few years IMO.

Oh...and LMAO at somebody choosing or not choosing Florida. We're America's University and everyone's dream...and will take what we want.
Unfortunately, the former AD's choices were a bit unGator-like.

Sexton is Dan Mullins agent. Maybe Florida is just 'frustrated' that they can't get an active coach to negotiate and/or walk away from his team during the regular season?

Yeah, maybe?

I'm about 99% sure that is the case with Frost. Send any correspondence indicating interest to his agent. He'll sit down and talk with you Dec 3rd at the earliest if UCF makes their CCG.

Kiffin or Petrino would probably talk to Florida right now though.

Wait a second I was all for Florida hiring him and hope they do or Chip for that matter. I've just watched you guys lose your shit for the past couple of weeks like high school girls hoping to get asked to the prom.

Frost is better off where he is gaining experience and making all the mistakes new coaches make on a smaller stage where the money and stakes aren't so high. Chizik, Muschamp and Malzahn could have gained valuable experience doing the same and been much more successful.

You need a guy that has been in the big chair for more than a year or two.

But seriously, I'm so relieved to hear we're moving away from another up-and-comer mid major coach. After the last two absolute fucking disasters, the time to try to be clever has passed. Get the old man in there with the long resume and have him run the program correctly.

Several Gators disagree about that outlook...saying Frost did so much with so little. But I heard rave revues about Muschamp and Mac as well. So, I'm done with hope in one hand and shit in the other. Gimme' a GDed resume.

You can have Frostie. He looks like a good shit and Nebraska is a good, next step from UCF.
