Great game by the Flames. They looked amazing in the 1st, but we stuck with it and took advantage of their mistakes.

Not bad getting a point on a long road tilt.

That guy is not good at math.

Ovechkin is also on pace for 246 goals by those calculations. Impressive stuff.

Sure would have liked two points tonight, but a pretty good effort tonight from what I saw (half of the 1st period and most of the 3rd). Damn Galiardi with a stupid penalty late in the 3rd might have cost the Flames the win.

Caps came out flat in the 1st period and Holtby was horrendous. We know he is a good goaltender, he just has to get his act together. The team picked up their play after Neuvy came in, it was 4-1 Caps from their on showing how the game should have gone all along.

Ovechkin picked up right where he left off and despite that guy Kirstien talking about how much the Caps will miss Ribs, I think Grabovski was a better addition to the team. I think Tom Wilson is going to be an awesome addition and having Laich back this year will help too.

I loved Dale Hunter as a player but man did he ever stymie Ovechkin, Backstrom and Green. It doesn't make sense to take great offensive talent and try to turn them into grinders.

Flames should've started Joey MacDonald IMO. He was the Flames best goalie last season, he's also more prepared for the NHL game than Karri Ramo.

1) Caps, thanks for breaking their spirit before they got on a plane. Unless you pissed them off, in which case - fuck you.
2) Shootout goals don't count towards a Hat Trick, Caps fans. Put your god damn hat back on.
