I was really upset with Woody for leaving Cody in so long. Cody did not have his best stuff and was getting shelled. The four runs are on Woody for not helping his pitcher out. Game was much closer than it had to be.

Hard for me to tell exactly what's going on... is Woody making bad pitching changes, or are the relief pitchers not as good as we think? Seems like everyone has a good day and a bad day.

On the bright side: Rodriguez was outstanding in relief last night. Against the O's he was terrible proving that there really are good and bad days.

I hope when the minor league seasons starts that we take a couple of our young starters out of the pen and send them to the minors to start. Then bring in relievers, Sborz and Evans, to take their spots in the pen.

This is a weird year due to innings limits like it or not otherwise see your point
I want potential starters to develop as starters working their 3 and 4th pitches

not sure if this is relevant to performance, but isn't there a new rule where RP's are required to face at least 3 batters?

Gallo's trade value is in serious question and he certainly needs to get with the program he was expected to do or trade him if he can get decent return. Boras will demand a premium for him and then JD will have to do something. It's roll the dice time for me. Joey can be a big star or a strike out king but you never know what you will get. Bottom line is I hate to think the FO will bet on him with mega bucks and years when he has never shown he can be consistent.
Gallo is the next A-Rod, but without the 'actual' quandy numbers of sir A-Roid..........Meaning: he's going to be overpaid regardless of staying here or going elsewhere, and if he stays, he'll financially drain the bank account so piecing together other key components will be damn near impossible.......And frankly, from the little I've read/heard about him recently, it certainly appears he has no desire to be here any longer than he has to be..........He's beginning to look & act more and more like his former teammate Harper (how's that working out for the Phillies?), and this isn't a good thing for anyone other than himself and Boras!.......In all fairness to the Rangers FO, they're really caught in a awful trap with Gallo, and I'm not so sure they had little to do with setting it. But maybe this is just me attempting to give JD a tad of wiggle-room, and I'm not sure why I want to do that since I'm far from his biggest fan.

Lyle’s was signed to a 2 year 16 million dollar contract and has a 5.21 career ERA? I must be looking at bad information.

Maybe a day or 2 off would help him relax or maybe let Solak bat leadoff or maybe both

Need to keep Solak at cleanup, but I'm all for giving others a shot at leadoff. Maybe Calhoun or Garcia.

Personally, I think 2-3-4 should be Gallo-Lowe-Solak as of now. I say give Garcia a chance at leadoff.
