Terrible fucking penalty killing from the second unit. How in the fuck do you leave Backstrom untouched while he has possession, OV wide open and the cross-ice pass available? That's way too fucking easy for Washington. We're a lot better than that and it may have just ended this fucking game too.

This is essentially a 1-1 game at worst for us that is 1-3.

Absolutely no reason to panic or hang our heads in shame after this one. We had a huge shot, chance and territorial advantage throughout this game and deserved a much better fate.

While Holtby is playing extremely well, he is also getting lucky. We held them to about half a dozen really strong chances, but not much else.

If Mase is hurt, he needs to sit. If not, he needs to keep his focus and intensity for the entire game. This was largely a 1-1 game that should've been headed to OT, but a serious hiccup from Mase and the PK had us pressing late, which led to the goal by Backstrom that Mase again looked shaky on. Off his angle for sure.

Not seeing the luck by holtby. Flyers aren't putting together quality chances. Holtby is seeing everything and the d is putting up a wall when he can't.

Not sure where the mason is injured is coming from either. He had a painful looking split tonight but is making outstanding saves and the only reason these games have had respectable scores.

I don't think he looks tired, but his confidence might be shook after giving up that goal from center ice. I think you gotta play him in game 3 to be sure, he might want to redeem himself, but don't hesitate to put in Neuvirth if Mason looks shaky early on.

The Flyers are not down 2-0 because of Mason (as some ass hats have tried to say). They are not down 2-0 because of the officials. Mason allowed 1 bad goal. The officials have sucked BOTH ways.

The Capitals were the best regular season team in the league.

The Flyers are playing without one of their most important forwards and have been playing without one of their better defensemen. Mason is not 100% and G and Jake are both banged up. The face that they are even in these games is only because of their grit and coaching.

All that I can say is that it's hockey anything can happen as we've seen in the last two games. They've had some bad breaks and deserved better as they really did carry the play. If they keep up the effort they can win game three. Go Flyers!
