Agreed that Jake could be the key...if he's flying watch out!

This is the gut feeling I get.

The Caps will be focused on Gee and Simmonds so much,Voracek is going to have ample opportunity to get it going.

Also think that Gagner is going to have a big series here.

Even if we lose I'd love to see to one guy rise to the occasion and really put on a spectacular performance, be it Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds, Ghost, or Mason.

Like any series when you don't have home ice, steal one in Washington the first two games and come back home ready to take the command.

A few of those guys will step up, but someone that is not expected to rise up will also do the same. A guy like a Raffl, Gagner, Cousins, Read or anyone else on defense. Raffl is probably the best bet.

I still expect this to go 6 or 7 games regardless of anything, but people are underestimating how well we've played in 2016 as a team and how much motivation there is to win for Ed Snider.

I say we win it in six or seven games.

I think that alone would just about shock the world. It's playoff hockey, so I can't count anything out here. I do still expect the Caps to choke again under the pressure and that means round one or two, so you never know.

The Flyers will win this series. I said in 7, but maybe in 6. I like the matchup and we no longer have to worry about the shoot out. Mase has been sharp most of the season and he is healthy.

The critics went from saying we will not make the playoffs four weeks ago to praising us like they were on board the whole time. We take game one and you'll see another about face from all of these so called experts.

How about Brayden Schenn being the X-factor? Dropped off a bit at the end, but so did the rest of the team. He has been hitting more then ever the past 5 weeks. I still dream of his Game 1 against Pittsburgh

As good as Schenn has been since December, I expect him to be a difference maker right away and throughout the series. So, I don't know if he's an X-factor or a dark horse.

I am concerned about whether Jake can find the back of the net and possibly our third line too, but otherwise, I think we should be able to roll four lines and never look back. Our special teams and rookies are potential issues, but I also think we can definitely overcome those.

Ghost is a lot more of a strength than a liability and Cousins perhaps as well.

Furthermore, I can't wait to see what Hakstol and this team can do with Provorov and Sanheim.

I see virtually nobody on the main board sees us winning this series either. They are taking the Caps in 4, 5 or 6. I am a little surprised actually given their history of bowing out early and how well we played in the second half of the season.

We've been playing meaningful games a lot more recently and often than they have, so we may have the early jump on them here.

Wilson's a dummy he can only help the Flyers. I prefer guys like White as they can go but also play hockey. If the Flyers vets on D can hold up they will be in this. Jake himself could take over this series if he gets his groove back. I'm super excited! Win one on the road that's all that I ask...
