This goes extra for this third power play. Washington is going to get a penalty on a Flyer high sticking the PUCK at this rate.

I don't know how to feel about that first period. We didn't play well, but neither did Washington, mostly due to three power plays, two of which were pretty soft in the playoffs in my opinion. There was a lot of hitting and not much else. Hope we can pick it up in the second and third, because I'm sure the Caps will.

I'm definitely concerned about a couple of makeup calls on the way in the second and Washington will be better on the power play than we were. So, so much potential on our power play and yet the top unit is basically ice cold.

They played a good road game the PP could have changed it. The refs kind of ignored everything after the flurry of penalties to start that didn't help the cause. nice to see Simmer punch out that clown wilson that will set the tone for the series but hurt them this game they should have had a PP out of that anyway but didn't as wilson dropped his gloves immediately.

We can't give them six power plays, despite the fact that the deciding goal was on a fluke, lucky bounce. The loss of Couturier really bothers me, but otherwise, I thought it was a very tight game and we went toe to toe with them. Gagner does look like he could have a strong series.

True the after the initial penalties to the caps the refs threw away the whistler. Not sure how Simmer got the extra two with wilson as he dropped them immediately at least he punched him out hopefully pay dividends down the road.

Really hope Couts is ok that would hurt badly. Laughton would have to step in and be the player that he can be....

In the long run, it would be nice to get Laughton some playoff experience, but losing Couturier in this series would make it much more of an uphill battle.
