And after last nights game, that is accomplishable.
They played a little flat in the second period, and they really need to pick up on the PP, But I agree @Retroram52 they sent a message, now they need to sign, seal, and deliver that sum bitch!!!!

I wasn't a fan of how the game was officiated....I know this is typical to complain.

I just don't like when the refs get into this game of "evening" up the calls. When one team is commiting penalties more than the other that is how the refs calls should go. I mean you look at a few things done by the caps specifically in the second period that were let go, only down the other end to call a marginal call. The evening up of Simmonds fighting with a minor for roughing? Where? The loss caps it off, especially with losing Coots, who i think is our 2nd most important player to Mason. I'm upset ha.

We played OK I liked the fact that nobody backed down and played soft even though Washington is huge.Somebody posted that Washington now knows if they are going to win they have to earn it and that is right on the money. Wayne train dropping Wilson made my night. The sad part about that was that is all we had to cheer about. Couts being out stinks well have to wait and see how it affects the rest of our series. Gagner played really well Schultz has huge nuts blocking Ovi's shot over and over Mase was a stud Schenn had some huge hits. Cant win with no goals so someone has to score . We need to get better on the PP and 5 on 5 offense. Holtby didn't even break a sweat. All in all pretty good road game but its only 1 game and you cant win a series with 1 win. Lets go Flyers game 2!!!!!!

I hate to be all doom and gloom, but the loss of Couturier is far worse than just losing the first game. I would be fairly optimistic right now if we still had him healthy. I hope to hell that we scratch and claw for every inch of ice though for the remainder of this series. We didn't come all this way to get embarrassed in round one. I expect to compete ferociously in every damn game.

If the Caps get past us, they will have the body scars to show it. And next year, we'll be better.

Tonight will be telling. If we keep it competitive without Couturier then who knows how the rest of the series will go. Could be a game we steal when no one expecting it.

Mason looked ready game 1. Someone is going to have to support him up front.

The officiating has definitely been one-sided in this series so far, but I am suggesting that the Flyers need to focus and now is the time guys need to show in a big way. If they do that I like our chances. If they are looking for excuses, this series will be done in 6 or 7.

Holtby unsurprisingly has come to play. Mason can sufficiently resist Washington's firepower which leaves it to our offense to get on the scoreboard.
