I'm one of them, I actually began following this guy while following his stablemate Perine. To me he is a once in a generation type of ball carrier. Surely there are others who's ability to run the ball are comparable, however, his patience and ability to set up the block has not been seen at this level since some of the greats took the field. Then there is the almost automatic timeout by the opposition when he goes in motion or is used as a flanker. As a pass catcher he reminds me of an upgraded Reed. High praise of course for someone who hasn't done a thing at the NFL level, but I'm telling anyone who wants to listen, if this guy stays healthy, he and Zeke change the running back by committee era.

I agree Mixon is the best RB in this draft. I'm not sure if he is Zeke, but he will give him a run for his money. If we go RB in the first, this is the guy I would want us to take. I would still wait until the 2nd.

I'm not sure he will. If he drops, it is because of the woman hitting thing.

Here is my honest take on Mixon and how the board views him....

I think the defense first guys are ok with him being in the conversation because the odds of us taking him at 17 are practically non-existent. And the odds of him being there at 49 are just as slim. So it would likely mean we go defense in the first two rounds which is what I think alot are hoping for even if it means we pass on a more talented offensive player. Now I hear the line that we could probably find an upgrade at RB later in the draft, to which i have said we have been chasing that demon almost as long as we have been looking for an above average QB. IM a fan of Cook at 17 although I have real doubts he gets out of the top 13 picks in any case.
