It's fair. The Royals have to fill his start from the bullpen. It hampers them for 9 days (can't pitch a guy out of the bullpen if he has to make a start). It would cripple a team to make it longer than that. Also 1 start out of 32/33 in a season is around 3%. Four starts out of say 160 for Machado is around 3%.

Please explain. From my unbiased standpoint, Ventura attempted to throw up and in on Machado in the 2nd inning and was unsuccessful. So he came back and dotted him the next time. And it's not like Ventura is a saint. He's one of the biggest pieces of shit in terms of mound etiquette that baseball has seen in some time. Machado is a rare equal POS, but I didn't have any problems with him charging the mound. Notice the KC catcher wasn't trying too hard to catch Machado before he got to Ventura? Maybe his teammates are sick of his shit too.
