Two assholes met on a cool East Coast June evening.... and so it goes.

Yeah, Ventura is a little prick and Machado is not much better. But I care less about that and more about how the Royals pitching staff has become the HR Derby elect pitching staff.

Nah, Machado gets to have a hissy fit about inside pitches as if Ventura is not allowed to do that. Meanwhile, Ventura being the coconut he is, shows him what "inside" actually looks like and two coconuts makes asses of themselves. Idiots make for good theatre.

Been of the opinion this team isn't very good, but pointless and petty beanballs is a nice way to get sent to Omaha regardless.

If they try to send him to O-Town, someone else will probably blow out their arm ala Vargas.

Meh- nobody home anyways. Do we care at this point? Almonte and Zimmer aren't ready, and the other arms are fringey backend talents.

Yeah, the cupboard doesn't feel especially stocked at this point.

You boys seem lost. Let me help you out and point you to where others give a shit:

or kicked out of town:suds:

According to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports, the Royals "have broached other teams' interest" in volatile starting pitcher Yordano Ventura.

These discussions happened before Ventura made a fool of himself Tuesday night in Baltimore, chirping and throwing at Manny Machado twice in the second inning before finally plunking the Orioles star with a pitch in the bottom of the fifth. Machado charged the mound and got a few shots in on the 25-year-old right-hander before a mass of players and coaches separated the two. They were both ejected. Ventura is sitting on an ugly 5.32 ERA through 12 starts this season, and he's walked 35 batters in 66 innings. At this point, it would probably be difficult for the Royals to move him for any type of fair return. He almost certainly has a suspension coming.

Yeah, Machado certainly wasn't blameless the way he reacted to a couple inside pitches. If pitchers weren't allowed to throw inside occasionally, every game would be 10-8.

Meh. It's not worth trading him given his talent. He's coming off his first two full years of having his FIP being in the mid 3's. Selling low would be an excellent exercise of stupidity. Pepperidge farms remembers when Gattis was thrown around for Ventura.
