i do believe that 277 PA was before this last game, so 283 now.

This is for the NFC? Because Cincy is at #1 for PA at 17.5 Seattle sits at #3 with 18.1.

Yes, the defense has been great this year. I know that early on people were concerned that it didn't look like it had in years past, but they've been in the top 5 all year, and everything worked out for them to once again be #1. So, the Hawks are now the first team since the 1953-1957 Cleveland Browns to lead the league in scoring for 4 consecutive seasons.
I think Irvin has earned a spot at the negotiating table based on his performance this season....

I wasn't a huge fan until this year but he's really carved out a place for himself on this defense.
I would trade that in every year for home field advantage through out the playoffs. Just say'in. It's nice and all because people will now look at this Defense as one of the top defenses of all time but i would take HFA over that in the playoffs. Wouldn't you?
As good as the defense has been the past 4 years they hurt this team early in the season against the Rams, Panthers, Bengals and Cards. All those games in my Eyes should have been wins and very EASILY could have been if the D could have made 1 freaking stop in regulation late in those games.
