I hear conflicting stats like this. Fields didnt run in college but made his mark as a passer. Now in the NFL, he isnt a passer?

From the few agonizing games i got to watch, the WR were not getting separation. Do we blame the WR? Or Fields for not making an ill-advised throw?

Also, heard a stat the other day that despite claims the O-line didnt give him time to pass, he actually had the most time of any QB last year.

I dont know what to believe anymore. Honestly. I just want to see improvement.
Running out of clean pockets messes up the timing stats.

Running QBs make their Olines look worse.

Throwing 41 scores in the Big10, while noteworthy, ain't the same as being an NFL level passer. J.T. Barrett threw 104 of em, and I don't think he's ever recorded a single NFL snap.

I'm sure there are mitigating circumstances, but I haven't seen much that suggests he'll even get to the level of passer that Lamar is.
And we don't like any Ravens WR's

I think the jury will come in on Fields this year. He gets to repeat a season with an O coordinator, has a legit additional receiver and a full offseason/season with Claypool.

Fields only had three games with both Mooney and Claypool on the field (going 43/69 for 443 with 6 TDs and 2 INTs).

His last eight games last year he was 116/181, 1194, 12 TDs, 5 INTs. His first four were gawdawful.

My guess for Fields passing in 2023: 3000+ yards, 23+ TDs, 14- INTs. (Bad fantasy-wise for WRs because there just aren't the yards.)

Mayfield rumored going to the Bucs? Hm.
Not a terrible spot for him. If guys like Godwin and Evans can't give that dude the catch radius he needs, he may as well hang em up.

May not be great for Evans and Godwin, but sadly, an upgrade over anything currently on the roster, so there's that

Suggests to me they might be eying Richardson. Mayfield’s probably the most expendable “starter” out there, and there’s no way Richardson should start the season for anybody.

Is Richardson the QB that has the good combine measurables but only completed 53% of his passes?

Well again, as sad as it may seem, an upgrade over anything in the roster at this time. But my money is on JommyG re-uniting with Josh McD...which isn't exactly great, but better than Mayfield
You kinda blew my mind.... :exploding: thats a real good guess. I like it. :thumb:

well they already have Hackett, his old OC, I've heard the Lazard deal is all but done..Cobb would be a part of the trade-question mark?

but just ask Bronco's fans if greasing the skids helps Aaron Rodgers choose your team or not. They had to endure a pathetic season, due in large part to Hackett's utter failure as a HC, because they thought if they got him in there, Rodgers would surely agree to come aboard..publicly they still deny that fact, but in private circles, it's well known that was the entire reason they hired Hackett. Hopefully that strategy works better for the Jet's

Austin Ekeler granted permission to seek a trade- any thoughts as to interested suitors for a 28year old, undersized RB who will most likely have to have his touches increasingly limited to maintain his effectiveness, maybe not so much this year, but going forward into age 29-30 seasons? and then likely done and out of the league shortly thereafter?

Sounds like the Raiders would be the perfect fit:D

That's a tough one, especially because it would probably have to be NFC. Saints?
