Don't know what the Chiefs were thinking using a 1st on him.
The rumor i had heard was that Mahomes pursuaded Reid to take CEH. And when you have a SB winning QB wanting certain players....

Honestly, neither of the other two RBs have really proven themselves to be all that much better yet. They also brought in Ronald Jones and he obviously didnt do anything. Its just a problem position for the Chiefs that they havent been able to fill lately.

Pacheco has upside, though. I wouldnt want him in fantasy atm but maybe somewhere down the road

if fumbling doesn't get Pacheco benched or give CEH more snaps/touches, that's a pretty telling sign, imo

early in the game the rookie give you an immediate reason to give CEH a series and Reid turns right back to the rookie instead, could be nothing, but sure seems like something

Oh, its something. CEH is a backup. Im just not 100% sure the Chiefs have found their true starter yet. When CEH was drafted, most Chiefs fans werent upset at who they picked. They were upset that a RB was drafted high at all. RB is not really one of the core pieces on the team and I suspect it will remain that way unless Pacheco blows up .

Kupp going out early in the game was a blow for those who own him. Multi-weeks is better than season-ending but for FF it's still a catastrophe.

I wasn't shocked the Chiefs took a RB with the 32nd pick in 2020, rather, I fully expected them to, however, I was shocked beyond belief that it was CEH. First Rb off the board in a draft that had Taylor, Swift, and Dobbins, and the consensus among all the scouts/draft 'experts' was near unanimous that CEH was at best the 4th best RB in that class. Plus we've also got AJ DIllon and Antonio Gibson in that draft, and I believe James Robinson was undrafted that year.

Could you imagine if they had taken Taylor? wow. Or even Swift, maybe in a different training room, he doesn't have as many issues, maybe he does, who knows, but when active, he's been better than CEH, same goes for Dobbins. And Gibson would likely be a stud in that offense, but they'd still need a hammer (Dillon would've been great too in that instance)

Chiefs don't NEED a strong rushing attack per se, they need a closer, someone that can get you those 2 first downs to end a game with 4 minutes left so that Mahomes isn't needing to scramble for first downs on 3rd and short, or throwing impossible passes to Kelce on 4th. just turn and hand the ball off. And that'll really be relevant come playoff time. Contrary to popular opinion, this is in no way insignificant or 'not valuable' in any way shape or form. When they meet the Bills or the Dolphins or the Ravens in the playoffs, the ability to keep the ball out of the hands of those offenses late in the game is immeasurable, especially in bad weather or if the line is having problems with the pass rush that given Sunday, and a guy that can make it happen is NOT simply just another interchangeable guy.

Pacheco is kinda sorta that guy, right now. He got the final first down yesterday, probably would've gotten the final two, but they handed the ball to the FB, not him on, 3rd and short. Maybe he can continue growing and fully be that guy by years end? I don't think he'll ever be a 'stud' RB in this league, but he might be good enough to fill what little the Chiefs need from that position.

From a fantasy perspective, sure, it'd be amazing if the Chiefs had a real RB that not only could do the above, but also be the dynamic playmaker CEH was supposed to be coming out, but its not at all what they really need

IDK about that you still have Jefferson and AJ Brown, think you'll be fine.
I'll be fine, I think..just not getting that #1 seed. I'm guessing we both lose this week. I'm not too confident that AJ Brown and the Eagles outscore Henicke by 12, which leaves me right where I was, 1 game back, but now sans that guaranteed 20+ points every week

Rachaad White - RB, Buccaneers
All it took was for the Bucs playing in Germany to finally unleash White. To date, his Week 10 performance in which he rushed 22 times for 105 yards is his best. Leonard Fournette did his part going 14/57/1, but it was White who broke the big runs and sealed the deal down the stretch. Ke'Shawn Vaughn saw three touches as well due to a hip injury Fournette sustained in the fourth quarter. If not already on fantasy rosters, White will be a must-add ahead of Week 11, especially if Fournette were to miss any time. It should also be noted that White started the game at running back. At the very least, we've finally reached a point where White has his own standalone value, but should Fournette miss games after the Bucs' bye, White could take his game to the next level.

yes, lets anoint a satellite back, who couldn't get 4+ YPC in any showing all year long, who took advantage of the 6th worst rushing defense (yards per game) in an overseas game, as the next great thing. Twits

this time of year, any back that inherits a workload via injury is the hot freshness of the week that you gotta add now and he's gonna be the next great thing to save your fantasy season, pickup of the year!

yeah but it's already been determined Lombardi Lenny isn't likely to miss time.

Buyer beware of that stat line. I haven't seen one so misleading since Jonas Gray, even Gus has some reasoning behind his big games

Ertz

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Cardinals TE Zach Ertz (knee) is out for the season.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said earlier in the day that the team will hope to know more on Wednesday, but sources confirmed with Rapoport that Ertz is expected to miss the remainder of the season. Rookie tight end Trey McBride is likely to get the first crack as the team's starting tight end with Ertz sidelined, after playing on a season-high 62 snaps in Week 10's loss to the Rams. Ertz finishes his season with a receiving line of 47-406-4 on 69 targets.

Shanny is like the biggest Mad Genius in the NFL I've ever seen.

Let's see how this scenario plays out.

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said his "goal" is for Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell to have "about even carries" going forward.

“That kind of was our goal before the game started, was to have a goal to have about even carries [between McCaffrey and Mitchell], but you never know how the game goes,” Shanahan said after the Niners' Week 10 win over the Chargers, Mitchell's first game since an early-season knee injury. “And then at the end there when we were just trying to hammer it down, we were just feeling [Mitchell], so we kept him out there.” It's an unpleasant surprise for McCaffrey drafters who thought CMC could return to glory in Shanahan's run-first offense. Mitchell on Sunday night had 18 rushes to 14 for McCaffrey, though McCaffrey had five of the team's seven goal line snaps against LA and scored a short touchdown. Though CMC should retain pass-catching duties in the 49ers offense, his high-end prospects could be in jeopardy if Mitchell takes half the team's rushing attempts.

Yea, I don't buy that one for a second. If things are all hunky dory, you're winning, the gamelfow is where you want it, sure lighten the load on CMAC. Any other time though? there's no way any sane individual gives the ball to Elijah Mitchell if CMAC is an option.

Niners traded for CmC on like a Wednesday and he played the next Sunday. If he only gets even snaps its because the Niners are playing so well they dont need him

I don't buy it either, but considering CMAC and 49ers RBs injury history, could in theory be a way to keep him healthy.

That's a bingo, I think.

Either one of 'em could go down in a heartbeat.

If I had to bet, I'd go with Mitchell, but not by much.
