Figured it was coming... as long as he isn't controlling the defense I guess. Not that Rex was any better. Mario Williams is likely gonzo.

Well shit...............this may make my keeper decision a lot harder depending on where he ends up..........

(Rotoworld)The Tampa Bay Times' Greg Auman reports the Bucs will have to pay impending free agentDoug Martinmore than $7 million annually to keep him in Tampa Bay.
Analysis:Fellow Times writer Rick Stroud reported Friday Martin is looking to "hit the jackpot." The best running back on the market, Martin is likely looking for a deal worth somewhere around $8 million per year with some significant guarantees. That may be too much for the Bucs to pay a back with Martin's injury history and limitations in the passing game. Once a virtual lock to stay in Tampa, it is starting to look likely Martin tests the open market.

Its a tough one because he clearly has the ability but he also carries some significant risk.

no way any team gives Martin 8MIL, let alone 7MIL imo.
That'd be a huge waste of money, unless all the guaranteed money is in yr 1, and they can cut him if he isn't a top 5 RB again.

News I'm very interested in:
Chase Daniels to Philly to push Bradford for starting role?

That'd be awesome. I still would've liked to see him start in KC. Looked like it was going to happen before the Smith trade.

BTW - over 3MIL per yr with a 3MIL signing bonus to hold a clipboard for Andy Reid, seemed like a nice gig, lol

started talking a little rams on the MBBRL thread, but I think today's fire sale fit in better on this thread.

Looks like Jenkins and Johnson will be back at CB, keeping this defense elite.
Unless, for some odd reason, Fisher actually lets Jenkins touch his money on the new deal.
Then it'll be a guessing game as to which Jenkins you get on the field.
The talented athlete, or the strip club enthusiast with 10 kids from 7 moms.

For those that don't know, when the rams signed jenkins, Fisher made him put his contract money in an LLC so that all of his baby mommas couldn't come after him for it.
I might have butchered the actual legal entity that was created, but it was all set up since Jenkins has (hopefully HAD) little to no self control off the field.

Per Rotoworld: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Bears are unsure if they'll use the franchise tag on free agent Alshon Jeffery, and there's "a chance" he hits the market.

The assumption all along has been that if the two sides can't come to a long-term agreement, then the Bears will simply slap Jeffery with the franchise tag. The expectation has been the 26-year-old won't even reach free agency. But Jeffery is coming off an injury-riddled contract season that was littered with soft-tissue calf and hamstring issues. He also had weight and conditioning concerns at South Carolina. Jeffery is still easily the top free-agent receiver.

Romo’s lawsuit against NFL goes to court Monday

"the NFL improperly shut down a fantasy football convention in Las Vegas, over concerns that the event was being held on property owned by a casino. (Meanwhile, the NFL currently is allowing the Raiders to openly flirt with the owner of the same casino regarding the possibility of building a stadium there."

Trent Richardson to Baltimore!

If he survives cuts he might be worthy of waiver consideration after a few injuries to the top of the depth chart lol

What's ironic is that he couldn't make it in RB-needy Cleveland. Failed again in RB-needy Indy. So it only makes sense that he bolts to the top of the Ravens depth chart and becomes fantasy relevant.

Third team's a charm. Just ask Thomas Jones. Bust in Zona (1st team). Bust in Tampa (2nd team). Stud in Chicago (3rd).

hummm, Jets or Indy ???
Actually, I was trying to think of a landing spot for Matt Forte. He said he wants to play for a contender. (Of course, a contender would want to want him?)
Texans were a playoff team. Indy can be again. Seattle would be interesting.
