Great. First the 49ers have VD, and then they give VD to somebody else.

I think the 49ers are in this situation because Kaepernick had no protection.

Keenan Allen out 'some time' with kidney injury

The AFC leader in receptions is going to be on the sidelines for "some time."

San Diego Chargers receiver Keenan Allen suffered a kidney injury Sunday during the team's latest heartbreaking loss. Chargers coach Mike McCoy announced the news Monday, along with the information Allen will be out for "some time."

Allen has 67 catches through eight weeks, which is tied for the third most amount of catches in NFL history in that span behind Julio Jones (this season) and Marvin Harrison.

"As I learn more, we'll give you more information on that, so he'll miss some time," coach Mike McCoy said Monday via the Union-Tribune San Diego. "I'm not going to put a timetable on it as you guys know, and I don't have enough information at this point in time, either. So we're dealing with that and a number of things also."

McCoy -- and almost any NFL coach -- hates to give away injury information. "Some time" would usually indicate this is not a short-term injury. The Chargers play in Chiago next Monday night before a week 10 bye. The Chargers season, which has been destroyed by injuries, could be all but over by the time Allen is back on the field.

Arians to John Brown fantasy owners: 'Tough sh--'

Haha, I like Arians. As long as he doesn't mess with CJ. ;)

Tlance, I had to turn down that trade... With the Jets questionmarks at QB, I don't want to take that risk...

TKO, still hate you for FORCING me to trade you DMC... Pretty sure you are a witch...

Chef, your trade I have to think about... Didn't want to trade a RB due to being so weak at RB, but it is certainly a fair trade...

Read a post that said Breshad Perriman has a shot to play again this season.

I must've missed that first time around...

Crap, I'm having a Chris DeBerg moment:

Don't play the Perriman
Don't even make a claim
Don't play the Perriman
Till he makes it to a Ravens game.
Oh-oh oh-ohhhhhh.

(I hate those Chris DeBerg moments.)

Edit: Hey, I misspelled his name! That's a relief, anyway.

Rut Roh! Don't get nervous, fellas...I'm sure it's just an "illness". :D

Martavis Bryant missed Wednesday's practice with an illness.

Players who miss practice with illnesses early in the week almost always suit up on game day. The Steelers will face the Raiders' leaky secondary this week.
