Getting a little late in the game to go off talent though.

This will be year four. And I have a hard time seeing Goff as a big boost for his career. (Same line of thinking, Landry now has Cutler.)

Yea I don't think Goff will help things lol. But if he doesn't produce because Goff is trash that doesn't mean he isn't uber talented. Which I get sounds like a pre emptive cop out but...could easily be the case.

As for it getting late. He just turned 24 and his production when healthy has actually been fantastic especially when accounting for the offense he played in. Similarly I don't think I've seen a "film guy" yet who doesn't think he's a great nfl player.

Let's put it this way. In 2015, he went on a hot run, scoring TDs in four straight games, some of them multi-TDs. He also scored TDs weeks 3, 7, and 9. He scored TDs in six games within a 9 week stretch from weeks 7 to 9. He was on another big run in 2014 before KC banged him up.

I'm with ya. That 2015 was actually nuts. Buffalo was hardly throwing the ball and he went on an absolute tear.

There are more ways to impact the game than volume of catches (in fact volume of catches is technically pointless compared to yards and touchdowns) especially when considering how low volume that passing offense was in the first place.

I think volume of catches and yards are huge in fantasy. TDs are not something I focus on as much. Julio Jones...

Much harder to sustain big numbers there. If I think TDs up a receivers value, I try to trade them. A lot.

I second this too. Touches are the ultimate measure of value. No matter the potential, you can't score without the ball.

The rams were always going to be 'the same old rams' with Fisher.

At the absolute worst, if Watkins stays healthy (big if), he should pile up some garbage time stats on a weekly basis. If Britt could be a borderline WR2/3 with Fisher, Watkins should be a solid WR2 with McVay.

penciled in for 8-10 targets as a weekly floor, imo.

I think in the past, Watkins was always being drafted as a back end WR1 or top end WR2 in fantasy drafts, he's creeping down to WR3 zone now. Just think there's enough value/potential at that spot, definitely not advising anyone to make Watkins a 2nd rounder, but if he slides to the 5th round? I'm buying, 4th round? depends where and how the first few rounds went
