For the record....I do not think the Falcons should fire Morris in year one because he had a brain fart. Lol. Probably cost them a playoff spot, but if they are going to fire Morris over that, I'd have to question the hire in the first place.

Additionally, that would be a major red flag for other potential coaches.

There was a Falcons poster on here that said he has been doing it all year. this wasn't the first time. He blew 2 or 3 more plays for the Falcons at the end of regulation. I dont like to fire coaches quick but this mistake happened more than once. I thought it was a bad hire at the time, this just proved my opinion. Plus add the KC debacle.

I posted an article that they could of had BB without giving him full control

I doubt that article is worth anything . BB wanted control and the ATL front office stampeded the owners office to get him to change his mind . Reported by fox sports

I heard that too but then BB changed his mind to give up control b/c he wanted to coach in 2024. Regardless Morris IMO was bad hire.

i doubt that story 100% based on BB's recent comments 2 days ago on national radio about coaching an NFL team . he spoke about needing to have control over operations

I didn't want Morris, but firing him after one year....that's tough.

I agree but he has a good team. his standards have to be higher getting into the playoffs versus us.

I thought Ferrell was brought here to be a run stopper, that has failed. Armstrong was supposed to provide pass rush that has been iffy all year. I guess the team likes Holmes and could take Ferrell spot next year.

Go ahead and say it. Armstrong has been a bust. He benefitted from having talent around him but he can't thrive in a position where he needs to elevate others. Our winning record has spared him being called out. Im happy with what we got out of Ferrell.

We've got a lot to address next year.
WR, RT, EDGE, TE, CB, DB, K and figuring out what happens with Johnathan Allen.

I know we need to re sign some guys and can't address all those needs next year but RB is also a need now as well

armstrongs contract is 5 mil , 9 mil and then 12 mil . 5 sacks for 5 mil

Hell of a lot cheaper than the two guys we traded for half a sack more.

Yeah I had the same thought on Ferrell, he was not a pass rusher but was supposed to be good against the run. I was surprised Armstrong only has 5 sacks, seems to have been more. But I'm not sure why a poster would be happier with Ferrelll than Armstrong, Ferrell has done nothing and has worse numbers across the board than Armstrong.

Is Zach Ertz top 10 all-time at TE?

The only thing that appears to me is you making shit up, Brandon.

That was a bad call. The 2nd holding call on Cosmi that negated the TD not so much, but there's some murkiness to it that imo

Why was it holding - An offensive player is not allowed to pull a defensive down to the ground n Cosmi did pull dude down to the ground n what made it obvious was he pulled him down and then let go with his hands.

Strike zone = defender's chest area

Why was it murky - Offensive lineman are allowed to engage defenders with their hands in what is called the strike zone (engage could mean any number of things) As long as the hands of the blocking player don't slip outside the strike zone IE the defender's shoulders or wrap around the defender. Cosmi's hands didn't slip to the defender's shoulders or around his body amd his hands were clearly in the strike zone.

The "engage defenders with their hands" basically means grabbing the jersey of a defender WRs do this quite a bit, sometimes with arms fully extended and its not called. As I said earlier Cosmi's hand were clearly in the strike zone. With that being the case instead of pulling the defender down and then letting go of him. Cosmi should have pressed himself up against the defender and continued to hold or engage him down to the ground without letting go.

Gotta call boo boo kitty on this as well. At least as far as the "adjustment" of moving Payne to DE being some hellified thing. Why is that? Because Robinson had all of 3 carries in the 2nd half. 1 carry on each of the first 3 possessions of the four toal 2nd half possessions by the Falcons.

In total the Falcons ran the ball 5 times in the 2nd half. Robinson had 3 carries for 8 yards, Penix had a scramble for 3 yards and Rae Rae had 1 carry for 14 yards. The adjustment that worked in the 2nd half was the Skins offense's domination of time of possesssion in the 2nd half n OT.
