Exactly right. NFL doesn't need proof. Doesn't need a conviction. Doesn't need the player to be charged.

The NFLPA gave RG this right. Their mistake, and one that will continue to cost them dearly as I don't see this getting resolved in the next CBA. The best they can really hope for is a more uniform schedule for punishment (a tiered system and fines in a % form instead of a flat amount).

Sucks for Zeke, but it's a story as old as time in sports: Don't hang out with losers and you're less likely to be in these situations. It's an issue he's had going back to his OSU days.

In a July 2016 report filed with the Columbus, Ohio police department, a woman who identified herself as Elliott’s former girlfriend claimed that he attacked her several times over the course of a week, including an assault that allegedly took place while she was sitting in the driver's seat of her car. In addition to filing a report, the woman posted photos to her Instagram page showing bruises on her leg, arms, hand, and neck.

Elliott denied that he and the woman had lived together, and he told authorities that she suffered the bruises in a bar fight, according to the report.

The police report says that officers spoke with four witnesses, all of whom said that they did not see an assault take place. The ex-girlfriend was referred to the prosecutor's office by police, citing conflicting information.

The same woman also called Florida police in February 2016, alleging Elliott pushed her against a wall. No charges were filed in either case.

The woman cooperated with the NFL’s investigation, which lasted over a year. Four expert advisors from outside the league assisted the investigation: Peter Harvey, a former attorney general for New Jersey; Kenneth Houston, a Pro Football Hall of Famer; Tonya Lovelace, CEO of the Women of Color Network, Inc.; and Mary Jo White, former U.S Attorney. Elliott met with the advisors in June.

Exactly! The players did this to themselves. RG didn't suspend Zeke for DV, he suspended him for conduct detrimental to the league. RG has proven time and time again he doesn't need much or any evidence to suspend under that clause.

So according to the NFL's own statement......

They DO NOT HAVE PROOF OF ANY WRONGDOING.

They are suspending him because "Elliott did not provide evidence he did NOT hit her" or "explain her bruises"

So.......they are saying here that he's guilty because he didn't explain how she got injured.

Oh but it gets better!

They KNOW according to their own investigation she was bruised BEFORE she had contact with Elliott! They also know she lied TWICE about the "altercations" and have affidavits from her friends that she lied!

Yeah I see no way a 6 game suspension is upheld. Maybe 2 or 4.
