Amazing that they are up to "Marvel 12" and the movies are still decent and raking in the dough. And that is not counting the 3 successful TV series (to date with at least 3 more in development).

James bond has had what, 25 films? And those, while successful, have not been half as big as the Marvel movies.

Deadpool will be a completely stand-alone flick, correct? Will it exist in the X-Men movie universe?

I kow there is the scene with Collossus, but he has not really been used in the X-Men universe, so they could include him without much cross-over problems...

Early indications are Fantastic Four sucks.

Fox didn't screen the film for anyone before today, about a day before the film is released. That is not a good sign. I also follow a couple critics who post reaction pics to twitter right after they seem films and the reactions to F4 are not promising.

I think they're wasting a lot of opportunity if they keep Deadpool separated from the X-Men universe. I think they have a plan to use him somehow in other films, but the Collossus in Deadpool then would have to be the same one who appears at the end of Days of Future Past.

Coincidentally, I was watching the Deadpool trailer on my large monitor last night and wanted a good look at Collossus. I paused the video and noticed that his belt buckle is a rectangular X. Could be something, could be nothing.

I don't know if this falls into the realm of this thread or not but the new Dragon Ball Z movie just came out and is getting pretty good reviews.

Critics are savaging it. It's currently a terrible 16% on Rotten Tomatoes, compared to the 70%+ of recent MCU films.

I love the Fantastic Four (the superteam and the comics, not this particular movie) ... which is why I want this film to bomb as miserably as possible so that Fox will give the rights back to Marvel Studios, so that we can finally get a properly-done Fantastic Four film in the MCU, instead of the crap that Fox has been consistently putting out on the FF. Between the 2005 and 2007 films and now this one, it's clear that Fox has no idea how to adapt the FF properly. Please, please, please fail horribly at the box office, so there's a chance that the rights can revert to Marvel.

Ha currently down to 10% and I couldn't agree with you more. This was just another movie that was made in order to keep the rights to the franchise. I don't think there was every any doubt this thing wasn't going to blow. From the casting to the terrible CGI in the trailers to the obvious pandering to the young "hip" crowd.

Bad news is if this goes the way of Daredevil we're going to have to wait another 10 years before Marvel can do anything.

Also I never noticed this until somebody brought it to my attention, but the Thing is running around naked in this movie. No more dick or butthole for Ben Grimm I guess.

It's brutal how bad Fantastic Snore is getting beat up in the media. I can't say that I am surprised. I saw the preview for it when I watch Fury Road. It looked terrible.

Early projections of mid-$40 mil seem to be way off. Right now, I read that Friday estimates are putting the movie in the low $30 mil.

As to when Marvel gets the rights back, I can see them not doing a origin type reboot with FF.
